Re: Thank you developers for all you are doing for a 1 time purchase price!

Keith has explicitly said that Scrivener is deliberately priced to make sure it's within reach of beginning writers, students, and others who may not have a lot of resources to throw at it. Katherine I understand this. But, there are many of us who can and should pay much more. One size does not fi...

Re: Complaining about Scrivener’s “slow” progress is a reflection of ignorance, not knowledge.

Review the Mac scriv 3 history of updates. Even though, as we have been told, that the Mac is "easier" to develop software like scriv, the updates are still addressing "bugs." the first update was huge. And, as it has been explain, windows does not have many of the common librari...

Re: Complaining about Scrivener’s “slow” progress is a reflection of ignorance, not knowledge.

Antagonistic post but I’ll bite. Cakewalk has gone through at least 3 owners and that is bound to impact its development processes True. And it is still one of the most advanced. And continuing. My point: it is complicated software that is still being fixed, even with nearly monthly updates after a...

Re: Thank you developers for all you are doing for a 1 time purchase price!

Scrivener should cost at least 5 times what is asked. No. Yes. Do some maths: $45 is 15 cents per DAY when used for only 300 days in one year. And I can install it on a bunch of computers. I think it should cost 4 times as much per year. The current insanity of thinking the most important bits of o...

Complaining about Scrivener’s “slow” progress is a reflection of ignorance, not knowledge.

For those who haven’t a clue about programming an application as complicated as Scrivener.: I have used Cakewalk audio recording software since 99. Sonar, the was released in 2000. Until about 4 years ago program updates were yearly, and sporadic. 4 years ago the new model was near-monthly updates t...

updates do not remove previous entries in SETTINGS-APPs

I currently have 6 entries for Scrivener in the SETTINGS -APPS list. Each has the size and date listed. Uninstalling one results in the other items being still listed, and disabled from uninstalling. Using the updater also does not delete the previous installation info. Version 1.9 had been on both ...

22: use formatting in current editor is greyed-out Why?

What am i doing wrong.

I change the formatting defaults, and the "Use Formatting in Current Editor" is greyed-out. Is this expected?

New projects do conform to the changes (font and size, indent, line length, spacing).

How do I apply the default formatting to selected text?

Mouse covers ruler measurements: options - editing- formatting

Mouse covers ruler measurements: options - editing- formatting

Only with the smallest mouse size is it possible to see the measurement.

Any larger and the measurement is covered..

I suggest moving such displays above the mouse cursor

Re: Feature request: disable auto save

Just curious if you could elaborate on how disabling auto save would be beneficial. Thanks! Save is destructive, usually non-recoverable in case of document corruption, and of course accidental text deletion. All saving functions should be at the discretion of the user We programmers of spread shee...
