Footnotes numbering

I apologize if this item has been already mentioned earlier in the forum (I couldn't find it, though). How does one chose the numbering system for the footnotes, i.e. start from the beginning on every new page, or every chapter? As it is, it seems to be only one numbering system in place which is to...

Footnotes numbers in the inspector

Since I switched to Scrivener 3, the footnotes numbers do no longer appear in the inspector, despite having selected in the menu View ▸ Text Editing ▸ Show Compiled Footnote Numbers in Inspector.

Re: iOS Comile to PDF - Footnotes created as endnotes

Actually, in my case, the footnotes do not appear at all after compiling, not even as endnotes (on the Mac version, there is no problem whatsoever). Did I miss something?

Re: How can i export, not compile, a file without a folder being created?

I have the same problem: a chapter in the book I am currently writing typically comprises several files (many, in fact), making use of the good advices found in the Scrivener manual. However, once the chapter is written, I'd like to export it for spell and grammar verification and then re-import it ...

Compiling in small caps

In the editor, I can write in small caps (transformation), I can have the first few words of a chapter in small caps. But in Scrivener 3, how do I set my compile parameters so as to have :"Part I : The title of part I" (in small caps). In Scrivener2, we could choose the option Title appear...

Re: Page breaks

I read the part in the update guide about how to compile, I fiddled a bit with the styles and I think I eventually got around the problem, although it may not be satisfactory from a purist's point of view. Nevertheless, I learnt my lesson and next time, I'll start a new template from scratch in Scri...

Page breaks

I know that this issue has been discussed elsewhere (for instance : http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=41006&p=243305&hilit=page+break#p243305) but it is getting to complex for a simple mind like mine. I did read several times the part of the manual on separators...

Re: Change Language Manually

I'm not sure I understand the issue at stake here: when I use the English keyboard, the autocorrect works in English. Similarly when I use the French keyboard, the correction is based on French vocabulary, etc. I would love to have the French version of Scrivener for iOS, but in my opinion, it would...

Re: Notes not available MAC to Ipad

You must use the additional keyboard row and make sure you use the footnote tool (cf) in the formatting section.
Then, click on the highlighted word (or text) and click on the (cf) key, you'll see you footnote, and be able to edit or delete it.

You don't drag it. In the edit mode, you press the button showing a follder with an inward arrow at the bottom of the screen), and then, you select your destination folder.

Re: sync stalled

After a week of trial and error, I have found -so I believe, at least- two ways of solving this problem, which are not fully satisfactory, but they work: 1) delete the app, re-download it and synchronize with Dropbox. Whatever problem I had with syncing before disappears when I sync for the first ti...

Yes.
When you press it, various arrows appear (right, left, up, and down.) These are the ones you want to use.
