Sometimes, when the editor is split, the split button in the header view changes from the default icon (the small square), which should close the split window, to the "change split type" icon (the function which normally requires Alt + Click to activate). When this happens, there's no way ...
Hello, every time I try to export my Scapple file to OPML format, it crashes and the OPML file is never created. Reproducible steps: 1) Open Scapple file 2) I choose File --> Export --> Outline Markup 3) Leave "Selected Notes Only" unchecked, can either check or leave unchecked "Creat...
I am also experiencing a crash when trying to export to OPML, but with a very small project. Once I choose a file name and hit save, Scapple just closes without any kind of error message. The file is never created.
Elen, Sorry for the continued trouble. I would be very surprised to find out that the symptoms you're describing are due to the Scrivener upgrade...it's possible that the problem is due to something else that just happened to coincide with the upgrade. I'll be curious to see what happens when you re...
Hi, Amber. I can’t find an earlier reference to Markdown of any sort in the section around File Import (page 90 region). Correct. This section talks about what happens when files get imported (namely, they are viewed as Rich Text). The area that talks about MD / MMD is in Chapter 21, and the chapter...
Thanks, Graybyrd, for confirming my suspicions. The PDF manual mentions that Scrivner supports MD for import (p. 213), and I assumed (logically, I think), that that meant it would convert (or at least display it) as rich text as it does for other text file types it imports (p. 90). It would be more ...
I should add that, of course, you can increase all of the interface's font sizes within Scrivener to compensate for disabling the display scaling. Doing so will allow you to enjoy the clarity without needing to squint.
Elen, What version of Scrivener are you running? I'm running 1.9.7.0, and I'm not seeing this. The blurriness may be due to Windows' display scaling rather than Scrivener itself. You can test this theory with the following procedure (this is easily reversible if you want to try it): Assuming you are...
When I'm not on my computer (tablet or phone) I am working in MD / MMD. While I have successfully imported these files into Scrivener, they are still in MD / MMD format. Is there a way to import them and then view (or convert) them to Scrivener's Rich Text format? I didn't see any relevant forum pos...
I was looking for an option called Font Background (rather than Highlight) and couldn't find one. I was looking under Format --> Font, menu, and also on the Font button on the toolbar (not available in either place). Didn't realize Scrivener calls it "Highlight" and puts it lower in the Fo...
Hello, I can't seem to get rid of a background color behind my blocks of text in Full Screen mode. See the attached screenshot. Note that this text is not selected. If I create a new document the text background is not there. Does anyone have an idea how to remedy this? Thank you in advance. http://...
