Re: Open scrivener Files in iOS

At the App Store, L&L does include that Scrivener does not use iCloud sync: B52B5987-A588-44A9-86C3-4B70984DE7D5.jpeg You can transfer using Files app. Step by step instruction here: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=319987#p319987 You can transfer using zip files stored v...

Re: Intrusive Safari on iOS

Or if you wish to share tabs on iOS devices but keep your Mac out of it––at the Mac - System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud > untick Safari.

(That's for Catalina and newer, according to Apple; Mojave and earlier it's at System Preferences > iCloud >Safari.)

Re: iCloud Backup vs. iCloud Sync

Speaking strictly about backups (not syncing)— I’m not sure in what shape Scrivener projects would be after a device was restored using an iCloud backup. They might be fine, I’ve not tried it. Regardless, restoring the whole device using iCloud backup to recover Scrivener projects is inefficient. iO...

Re: Can't Enter a Carriage Return

It looks that you’ve inadvertently enabled Script Mode.

The command (remove the check) to return to normal mode is at the Format menu > Scriptwriting, or via ⌘8 at the keyboard.

Re: Transfer scrivener project file to new computer

There’s instructions at this L&L knowledge base article:
https://scrivener.tenderapp.com/help/kb ... -computers

Where it points to Manage > Save Preferences To File, you might also want to do the same for themes.

Re: Adding page breaks around certain files when compiling (on iOS)

Something new to try (doesn't take long at all) but first, full disclosure––I know a little about macOS compile; I know very little about iOS compile. I’ve only occasionally practiced with it. Your situation prompted my interest to find a solution. If you don’t know, Literature and Latte goes on hol...

Re: Adding page breaks around certain files when compiling (on iOS)

For whichever Appearance you’re compiling to, try adding - Page Break Before Text Files . To use the Appearance Editor you have to duplicate one of the stock Appearances or create a new one. The ones that come with Scrivener cannot be directly edited. There’s an overview in the Tutorial > Exporting ...

Re: iOS Scrivener far too eager to scroll while text is being selected

See the following post through the end of the thread—there’s workarounds and AmberV (L&L support) states that optimization will be looked into, at some point.

“Backstage Heroes”

From Howard Oakley at eclecticlight.co: […] Here I’d like to sing the praises of the other heroes, many of them working backstage, who’ve made this all possible: third-party developers, many of whom have been hard at work rehearsing through the summer, regardless of vacations and Covid-19. Had it no...
