Re: (Beta 25) - editing to add any character/word in editor overwrites succeeding characters/words.

This is bugging me too. This overwrite mode startled me, and I experienced five seconds of terror, not knowing what's going on. I have never ever used the insert key in my life, and mind you, I've been working with computers for over 35 years. Then I read @tiho_d's post and realized this k...

Re: Document links and bookmarks do NOT create a back-link bookmark

It looks like some things are working but not others: In v25 ⋅  Dragging one item into another’s bookmark list: good ⋅  Creating a new linked document via Ctrl+G,D : good ⋅  Using the ... button to manually create a bookmark to another item: Doesn't work anymore. Use t...

Is Scapple for Windows dead?

As the title says.

Can we expect Scapple to be updated with the functions of the Mac version?

Like:
  • Labelling connections between notes
  • Applying styles from the Inspector

Thanks,
M

Re: [IOS] Automatic Backup

I can only imagine how slow the zipping of a 1GB project will be. I know some people have smaller projects, but some have bigger, and that will kill the battery of the device.
Not that it's not a good idea, I like it too, but I wonder how practical it is.

Re: Font Rendering Issue

We are aware of the problem, Krastev, but I am afraid the fix is not easy we have more urgent issues to fix. This bug is inconvenience and happens only when line highlighting is enabled, so I am afraid it will be targeted post official release. I have added it to our bug tracking system too. The li...

Re: [NB] Saving Options to File... doesn't remember the width of the Binder and the state of the Inspector

Ah, thanks. Since I'm using a custom Layout shouldn't the installation of a new version of Scrivener 'remember' it(my custom Layout)? It's a no biggie to reapply it manually, but I wonder what would happen when Scrivener 3 is out, and people begin to update it automatically. There will be a lot of c...

[NB] Saving Options to File... doesn't remember the width of the Binder and the state of the Inspector

Saving Options to File... doesn't save the width of the Binder and the state of the Inspector(open or closed) I'm not sure how can I test this, but I think this only happens when I load the settings for the first time in a new installation of Scrivener. Hope the description is clear enough if not le...

The screen just blinks and then doesn't change. Very annoying. What can cause such a thing?

Re: [BETA 23] Scrivener outliner hangs

I can confirm it.

I have a project with over 350 items in the binder. It hangs even if the synopsis is hidden in the Outline view. In the given example it took around three and a half minutes to open the Outline view without the synopsis.

I agree with xiamenese about Word though.

Thank you all. The code:

Help! AutoHotKey script to swap Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Shift+V

Since Scrivener b23 does not allow the user to swap the shortcuts for Paste and Paste and Match the Style , I was advised to use AutoHotKey or something similar swap the functions for now. For more info about the problem see this thread. I installed AutoHotKey, thinking it would be easy to use, but ...
