"The requested file needs elevation" is not a Scrivener error but comes from your Windows operating system.

On Windows, in Scrivener Beta, this setting, do exactly what it says it will do; that is, it deletes the struck-through text.

I created 2 custom metadata fields, one called POV and one called Scene Location. Both are lists and I typed in characters for the POV and places from my story in the Scene Location. It does not save the data. Each scene within a chapter can have a different POV and location, but when I go back it'...

This is across all themes. It's been noted and is not as easily fixable as some might suspect. Theo I believe stated that its on the list, just not a priority at this time. It's not on all themes . The default looks like this: Clipboard Image.png Solarized is also fine: Clipboard Image (1).png

Make sure the Before and After Paragraph Spacing is set to zero in Oprions -> Editing -> Formatting -> Line Spacing
