Re: Current line highlighting?

If the line around highlighted text is staying, then an option to vary the cursor width and colour would work for me. The block width and blink settings are in Editing: Options (bottom area), and the colour is in Appearance: Textual Marks: Colors, under Insertion Point. I use a 3pt cursor myself. T...

Oops! Easy to miss in 850 pages.

Could I suggest that section/chapter numbers are added to the ToC?

Re: New forum: vertical scrollbar cursor absent in Firefox

Thanks for looking. It's not worth spending time on since it's just me. I'll can use Safari instead.

Re: Current line highlighting?

In v2, my line highlight is a pale yellow background, which is very subtle and which I like. In v3, there is a line around the selected line, which I don't like at all, so have switched it off. Yeah, it's really quite in your face now with the border around the highlight. That said, I think I'm get...

Re: New forum: vertical scrollbar cursor absent in Firefox

No, I have no plug-ins that fiddle with the theme.

I tried restarting Firefox in safe mode -- i.e. without plug-ins -- and also created a new profile, but the problem persists.

Re: New forum: vertical scrollbar cursor absent in Firefox

I don't know its proper name (handle, cursor, do-dad, thingamabob), but yes the blob in the scrollbar that you can grab to scroll up and down a page. It's simply not there for some reason in Firefox. Well, it's invisible, since you can hunt around to find it.

Re: Current line highlighting?

In my experience, it does work, but it's much more subtle than it was in v. 2 … which I personally like. That's odd. In v2, my line highlight is a pale yellow background, which is very subtle and which I like. In v3, there is a border around the highlighted line, which I don't like at all, so have ...

New forum: vertical scrollbar cursor absent in Firefox

The vertical scrollbar cursor has gone AWOL in Firefox in the new forum (on checking: on the main site too). It's present in Safari (on both site and forum). This is on High Sierra. I can get it back by going into the inspector and unchecking main.css/body/background -- so it's presumably one of the...

Re: Forum software changes (I don't know where to put this)

With regards to forum stuff - just to make sure it doesn't get lost in the shuffle - I'll mention that I'm really missing the little indicator on the Board Index page for which subforums have new posts (ie, Mac tech support, Mac Feedback, etc). I'll add a me too to this. Not a show-stopper, but wou...

\o/

Looks very nice. Great work L&L. Scapple tweaks too.

Thought I might have to do some writing now that prevarication excuses have run low, but that 847 page manual should see me through to the weekend :-D

Re: Advice needed on storage / backup options

Sounds like you need a NAS . A recent review of such. Some routers allow you to connect a disk and use that as a NAS. For example, I have a Apple Airport router with a 1Tb drive attached to it (bought years ago for ~£50). The disk is accessible by all Apple devices (MBP, iPhone, iPad, AppleTV). I su...
