Re: Bug - Single quote mark facing wrong way after double quote mark

This probably has to do with the logic being used by the smart quote algorithm to decide which way to type the smart quote. Unfortunately, the logic surrounding it isn't so great (others have complained about it before). I can't think of any circumstance where I would want left double quote followed...

Re: Way to increase the amount of usable screen real estate?

Yes, I have done that. My screenshots show the effect of all row spacing set to zero (the lowest it can go). Would be nice if it could go negative, or if there was some other way to do this. As it stands, this is a retrograde step and negates any benefit to me in upgrading! A few things -- ⋅&n...

Re: Everything opens in Corkboard view

Everything I open, opens in the corkboard view - everything. I did make sure I had the right option selected under the View tab. Even individual documents? That sounds strange. Documents should default to document view. Can you change the mode for a particular folder or document? Does it stay chang...

BUG B41: tabs in ruler are offset from where you set them

I'm blissfully moving along, and I notice that where I had a center tab set was NOT where the text was centered. So I figured, well, we'll just move it a little... Grabbed a couple of lines, placed a center tab at 3", and it slid itself to 2". Set the tab to 2.72" and the tab showed u...

Re: Bug: Compile Margin Does Not Save

It's changing the margin settings on its own. I tried changing 6x9 paperback (saved as a new setting) with 0.875" margins, to 5x8 with the same margins. Reopen the file, and it says the margins are 0.8, 0.8,0.8, and 0.9.

Re: Opening in wrong editor

I work with both editors open. Whatever I want to open always opens in the wrong editor. I did check the settings. Which settings? The setting at Navigate | Binder Selection Affects should be set to "Current Editor." If you'd prefer to open a document in the editor your cursor is NOT in, ...

At https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=53204&p=272780&hilit=dictionaries#p272780 are instructions for replacing your dictionaries, if you want further reading. This is not supported by L&L . I tried replacing the dictionary and it worked. This still works. E...

Re: [Suggestion] Index Cards: Keyword color markings not adapting to round corner design

After I chose to change the default Index Cards design to the one with rounded corners, in the Corkboard, I saw that my keyword color displays on the edges of the cards do not adapt to the rounded corners. They stand out and reach over the edges. In Beta 41, I'm not seeing keyword chips at all in C...

Re: Forced constant beta update

... the beta does have an in-program updater (Help > Check For Updates), so you should be able to keep your version completely up to date without ever having to set foot in the forums. Hope that's helpful. That is a very good feature. I assume it's new, since the lack of it was discussed earlier in...

Re: BETA 40. Typewriter scrolling stopped working

It seems to be working for me. As to whether it's working correctly, that's another matter. I don't normally use this mode (the jumping text on new-line is distracting and causes me eyestrain), so I'm not sure exactly what it's supposed to do. As long as I'm typing new text in a document, the cursor...

Doesn't sound quite like the comment bugs we had earlier in the beta, but it does resemble them a bit.

Re: BUG. Inconsistent small caps.

Same problem here with the last beta. Yeah. What gets me is that sometimes the font displays correctly, and sometimes it does not. In the example, in the first word, the "lowercase" letters display at about the correct size in smallcaps. The rest of the words are disproportionate. The exc...

Re: Adaptation to small screen for compilation (beta 25)

The team has essentially stated that this is not a bug; it's a design choice they don't want to spend time on right now (if ever). There are ways to work around this limitation, which have been discussed in other threads. For example, some Nvidia drivers allow larger virtual screens than physical sc...

Re: Question:

They may be safely uninstalled. With each new beta, the existing beta should tell you there's an update, and the internal updater does work. It doesn't change the version listed in "Programs and Features," which can be confusing.

Re: DPI Issue

Also, changing the height of the Formatting toolbar seems to change the height of the Title bar of the editor (not the one in the Main toolbar, but the element of the Editor right below the formatting toolbar).
