Line Numbering in a Manuscript

I'm editing and re-writing a draft - finally. It would be so much easier to come back to the same spot in a work if I had a way of numbering the lines of text. Is there a way to have line numbers show up on a manuscript, that are relevant to the chapter or subfolder? Where would I go to "turn o...

Oh dear. I've blown the poor mans gasket. 7es I am talking about a functionality similar to OneNote or Paper 53. Cool, huh?

Think of the implications for plotting works and Scapple.

iPencil Compatibility

Any chance of having iPencil compatibility in the near to distant future? The thought of scribbling on a Scrivener index card puts a smile on my mug. :D

Re: How do I ...

I think I found it. Shutting it off has more to do with the global settings of the laptop than I imagined. Disabling spellcheck in Word seemed to help also. Strange.

How do I ...

... eliminate the red line underneath a spelling error? I am working on a first draft. I am wanting to eliminate distractions, to get a train of thought down on a very long work. I don't care if I misspell words or not, or grammer, or anything of the sort. I just want to get it down, and have Scrive...

Re: How many fiction writers do we have here?

Here's my WIP. Please, be gentle. 2050, a California beach near Monterey: Rachel danced around Isa, watchedher stand in the sand, her eyes covered by a blindfold. Isa, never one to be still, was shuffling her feet, the heat of the sun-baked sand beginning to hurt, herself moving in a small, dizzying...

Priority on Writing

Hmm, what do I write, in what genre? Lately I've been writing a lot of mystery/suspense that seems to span decades or a decade. Getting a grip on timelines for events is something to be worked on. I've had another story rattling around in my head for a few months. Working on how to fictionalize some...

Re: Ulysses III

Allow me to vent, now that I have been directed to the "proper" forum. AHEM. I've cobbled together a method, where, when I want to get away from the desk and laptop (usually by Noon), I'll pick up an iPad and a bluetooth keyboard, open Ulysses III, and have a go. Save the work, or hope (at...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

The only competition I see for Scrivener is Ulysses. And at the moment they only have Daedalus Touch, that is only a reduced set of Ulysses. The same type of syncronization can be made in Scrivener with the External folders - that can also be syncronized with Daedalus via Dropbox. Paolo Reconsider ...

Re: Writing Keyboards

Whenever I write at a keyboard for a length of time, I will get a Gordian knot in my shoulders. My wife has a heck of a time working the knot out and I can't sleep because of the pain. She brought home a Kinesis keyboard from work to try. Split in the middle it allows the user to not roll their shou...

I am a Writer

The day I felt I became a Writer was the day I sat down and came up with some song lyrics, and they were accepted by the band I was working with without question or revision. I had hit a home run. Poetry is not my strong suite. I work on books, stories short or long. I had found the other "beat...
