Compile Draft changes format

I just did a "compile draft" of my current novel and even though it's double-spaced, standard ms format in Scrivener, when I opened the exported draft it was single-spaced with an extra line between paragraphs (so I can't just switch to double-spacing because then there would be extra line...

Re: Setting default language

Thank you. I'm confused as to why I was able to always have British chosen before and now it's not consistent, but I've gone into the System Preferences again, so maybe that will help!

Setting default language

My first download of Scrivener, British English was (I believe) the default. After it upgraded, I had to reset it to British as the default. Now, I'm not sure whether to attribute this to the most recent update of Scrivener, or to Snow Leopard, but not only did it revert to "automatic language&...

I have had no issues with Scrivener and 10.6.1.

Excellent!

Re: Scrivener crashes in Snow Leopard

I have been sitting here with a copy of Snow Leopard, nervous about installing it. I checked her to see what Scrivener users were saying about it, since of all my programs, Scrivener is the most vital to me. Is there any information about which machines are having probs so a person can determine whe...

Re: Printing index cards

Are index cards standard between the US and UK, or is the sizing different as it is in paper sizes?

Re: Exporting to Word, new quirk

I've exported to rtf and that code didn't show up then, either.

I'll check the Compile Draft. Thanks.

Exporting to Word, new quirk

Tonight something new is happening. I have always been able to export to Word with no probs, but tonight when I do I get garbage like this at the top of the first page: {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\cocoartf949\cocoasubrtf460 {\fonttbl\f0\fmodern\fcharset0 Courier;} {\colortbl;\red255\green255\blue255;} \...

Re: New templates and other manuscripts formats

I'm not sure if this would be the proper terminology but an "online project" template would be nice. Single-spaced with an extra line skipped between paragraphs?

Simple and sweet.

Re: Sticky notes or work-around?

Thanks, Andreas. So I turn on "annotation mode" to make the notes, then turn it off so I don't have to look at them. Turn it back on when I want to see them again. That it? Thanks! Apollo, thanks for that, too. I did watch the demo when I first downloaded Scrivener. Since I don't use most...

Re: Importing into Chapters?

Thanks. I use export for single chapters but this was going to be multiple chapters so I thought it easier to compile. Next time I'll know. And I'll also be more careful about those last-minute edits. This time I just started working in Word w/o thinking about it, and by the time I realized what I w...
