Re: Losing blank lines in Export function to Word: Mac

It also occurs to me, is there a way to turn off the automatic formatting so that I'm putting in the returns as I go, the same way I would in Word?

Re: Losing blank lines in Export function to Word: Mac

Thank you, xiamenese and Keith!

Keith, is there any command I can use to get rid of the paragraph formatting?

These are long docs, sometimes 8,000 words or more, and this might cause me to have to revert to Word for this project.

Losing blank lines in Export function to Word: Mac

I'm doing some writing in Scrivener that is then exported to Word where I html code it, then cut-and-paste into a form on a website. When I was writing in Word, this worked w/o issue. Now I'm finding that even though the export into Word looks perfect, the cut-and-paste loses all of its blank lines ...

Re: BEFORE POSTING...

This is very minor and I don't mind if you totally ignore it, but something came up today which would have been nice.... As I was writing a scene, I looked at the notecard in the Inspector where I had a list of things that I needed to happen in that scene, and thought how nice it would be to be able...

I'm another who can't get the file to open because it thinks it's a movie file.

What should I do?

Re: The Zen of Inspiration

LOL! Well, one must remember that I started writing in MS Word 1.0 on my original Mac in 1984. Yes, the Mac that ran on 128K floppies. I've been MS Word faithful for a very long time. Besides that, I just wasn't sure why I'd want to change and go through importing/exporting files when I could just w...

The Zen of Inspiration

I've never before been a person who conjured up visual images to help me write, but on my new project, images started finding me. Character images. Locations. Ethereal and sublime. I tried to figure out what to do with them, and was contemplating printing them all out and putting them on a corkboard...

"Compare Two Docs"

Okay, I totally LOVE Scrivener. I've done the tutorial and have dug around in the forums, plus posted a couple of questions. Scrivener is so totally amazing. Right now for my current chapter I have an audiofile playing for mood, a character image for inspiration, and am finally making some progress....

Another Corkboard Question

It's official--I am now a registered Scrive, rather than a demo-user. I'm in love with this program!

Is it possible to open the full Research corkboard alongside the document I'm writing? Or am I limited to the Inspector?

Re: Images on corkboard

Oh, thank you! That worked. And thanks for the explanation of "binder." I'm one of those Mac people who never reads anything and just dives in and starts using!

Re: Images on corkboard

I'm brand new to this--loading these images is the very first thing I've done. (Images of my characters.) So excuse me if my questions seem dumb but-- When you say double-click, I did that, and nothing happened. When you mention the editor, is that something different from just clicking the photo on...

Images on corkboard

I've imported several images (.jpg) to my corkboard to have as reference and/or inspiration. The original images are much larger than the image that shows up on the corkboard but that's not a prob. I like that the corkboard presents them all the same size and so that I can see a number of them at on...
