Navigating the scrivening document stack

Is there a map of the keyboard shortcuts somewhere, official or otherwise? (All the shortcuts?) I was about to post asking for a way to move, navigate, from one scrivening document to the top of the next (or prior) document since neither Ctrl-End/Home nor PgDn/PgUp did it. (Searching the manual for ...

Re: Binder Research folder hangs most times I deal with it.

Hope that is of some assistance. I'm sure it can be said better than I have managed here. Thank you. Whether 'can be said better' or not, it was gratefully enough for me. I had stared at that button as I clicked it back and forth, I think mostly expecting it to go multi-/single-document image: For ...

Re: Binder Research folder hangs most times I deal with it.

Springfield,
Is there an obvious visual queue that tells me the scrivening status of a selected binder container?

Re: Comparing Scrivener with Info Select

Nick [Pietrangolo?], I find your drafting and research process in 2010 — even your data concerns — much like mine today. As I now look to Scrivener as a likely replacement for Info Select v9 (2007) [Infoselect] in a bid to step up my (amateur) composition game, I will add re data that, starting with...

Re: Binder Research folder hangs most times I deal with it.

Thank you Linus; My session start-ups understandably remain slow when I leave a scrivening in an editor at shutdown. However, my concern had to deal with my routine navigation of the binder via the keyboard when the binder's 'folders' are closed: As it was, I found it -- disruptive -- as I collate/w...

Binder Research folder hangs most times I deal with it.

With 14 days left on trial, I'm still struggling with Scrivener's apparent inability to deal smoothly with a test project that has a low approximation -- 31 MB -- of the self-generated text I intend for it: ~ 50 MB + perhaps a score related low/mid-resolution images (neither of which I've read in po...

Thanks shass. My guess is that metadata goes along with any document duplication? Re ... As to your last point, remember that changes to a document are carried through to the document in the collection. They are the same document but referenced from a different place. My last point was just for the ...

What links to the document I'm editing?

Is there a way to know what collections (or other links) tie to a document I'm editing without doing a search for some inherent text? Or merely, to know whether the document IS linked/collected? (This would be of use, particularly if my changes take the text in a direction other than its original.) ...

Use changing document (1st line) text as its title (redux)

[Scriv 1.9.0 (trial); Win7 Pro, x64; 8GB.] [Once I have imported my 'documents' to] Scrivener, it would be useful (to me) were their title to change as their first line/sentence changed. (For instance, ... it would be quicker ... to change it 'on the fly' while I was still in the document, as the th...

Establishing imported Works In Progress as Collections.

[Scriv 1.9.0 (trial); Win7 Pro, x64; 8GB.] Here's what it looks to me that I have to do: As a newbie-to-be, conceptually, in order to move my current work and body of source documents into Scrivener: 1. I would import the corpus of source notes/thoughts/documents to a Research folder. (Then flag the...

devin, Yes, that too was one I'd heard, and having reprogrammed a ledger & grant system through Y2K (aka Win9k), as you say, the most likely coding reason for '10'. one was similar Of course, I meant 'similar' superficially! :D Quite happy with Win7, I am looking forward to Scrivener for Windows...

Re: Use changing document (1st line) text as its title

Ioa/Amber, Thanks; that's pretty much as I supposed it to my spouse after reading Devin's answer. And pretty much as I hoped ! having seen some nice Mac functionality in the 'using Scrivener' videos that I'd use, tools (apparently?) absent in the 1.9 Windows trial version with which I'm playing (on ...

Thank you Devin.
I didn't know that Literature & Latte had adopted the same marketing signal as MS had with Win 10.

Is this v3.0 for the Mac? As a Windows user, v3.0 for Windows would be a full version away for me.

Amber, thank you.
Lots of handy info here ... and as a 28-year programmer before retiring, I :D 'd on reading the details.
