Re: Ulysses reborn

With Scrivener+MMD or Ulysses for that matter, output is probably far less than 2%, 99% of the time. The final stage of importing into Word and tearing your hair out for days over styles is completely eliminated, as is the fact that the Scrivener project is now "dead". Ideally, production...

Re: Ulysses reborn

Amber, I appreciate the reply. I think my confusion may have been that I interpreted the Ulysses marketing materials as implying that semantic text allows one to be more creative. Perhaps I misinterpreted. As for text being "riddled" with markup... okay, I may have exagerated, but doesn't ...

Re: Ulysses reborn

I have been using Ulysses for a long time, just when it was released, but in the end I'm one of these weird guys who prefer to see italics instead of defining them (yes, I know, a sensitive topic). There's only one thing in Ulysses that I miss in Scrivener: The document/notes browser windows in the...

Universal font change

Hello, Is there a way to universally change the font in all the files of a given project? I'm probably a bit of an obsessive about this, but I prefer that all my files have the same font, but when I clip information from other sources, and otherwise, I end up with a mishmash of styles. I'd like to c...

A Voyage Long and Strange

I just finished reading this enjoyable book, which is part travelogue, part history. After a trip to Plymouth Rock, Tony Horwitz concludes that he is clueless about all the many European attempts to found colonies in North America prior to 1620 (i.e. the so-called Pilgrims's founding of Plimouth Pla...

Re: Even Scrivener's brilliance cannot ameliorate Apple's gloss

I find it amusing and perhaps a little frustrating to observe that Apple, the company that built its reputation on a TV ad depicting the taking down of Big Brother, now behaves far more like Big Brother than IBM ever did. I wonder if Steve Jobs ever ponders this.

MU Promo Spring Bundle

Hi,

Just thought I'd let you know that the spring bundle at mupromo.com includes CircusPonies Notebook, and several other applications all for what Notebook alone costs.

[I tried to send this once and it didn't seem to go through, so if two messages show up, I apologize.]

What do they do, do they work? thanks Jenny I can't answer your questions directly, but I can tell you that those items do not come with nor are they integra...

Re: Looking for perfect task manager?

I haven't used it myself, but you might try Thinking Rock. It is free and seems to have the functionality you're looking for. It uses the GTD method of project/task management, but it seems to me it can be adapted to your use. Here's the link: http://www.trgtd.com.au/

Journler on Sale at Maczot

I just thought some of you might want to be made aware that Journler is on sale for $19.95 (US) on Maczot.com this weekend. The sales copy refers to the upcoming 2.6 version, so I would hope that means the developer is committed to at least that much further development.

That would definitely be a great feature. Just to set the record straight, it was Sean who originally made the suggestion. I just added my support.

I remember that Sandvox was discussed here some time ago, so I thought I'd let everyone know that the Pro version is on sale at mupromo.com for $49... about half price.
