Re: Carl Hiaasen?

Did you see the mini interview of Hiaasen in the NYT Book Review? If not, it's here:

I was especially intrigued by his book recommendation for President Obama.

Creating an outline

Scrivener's versatility came through for me again recently when I had to create an outline to give to an editor -- not for something I was writing, but for a work which my organization has commissioned. I could have turned to OmniOutliner, but instead I used Scrivener and was very pleased with the r...

Re: Shogun

I agree that Shogun is a great book. In fact, I've looked for similar reads and have found most wanting. (Epic tales where a westerner becomes emersed in a foreign culture.) I also found Clavell's novel King Rat to be very engaging.

I think he's referring to a different application:

Re: Popular Productivity App Bundle for $40

the human gets dozens of leaflets through the door ever day for pizza delivery, curry houses and all manner of other fast food pedlars. Just because he picked up the phone and actually bought a pizza once, doesn't stop it being junkmail. my point here is simply,,, don,t just post a meaningless adve...

Re: Popular Productivity App Bundle for $40

Chill, furry friend. Consider my reply as rhetorical as well. Inkling brings notices of stuff to the forum that I've found useful in the past, and whilst the one above might look more nakedly spam-ish than some, I personally am convinced from his or her previous contributions that the intent is pur...

And if Dave comes out with a Windows version, I'm there. On the other hand, if I hold off that frustration may actually lead you to buy a Mac so you can have both my app and Scrivener 2.1! 8) Dave Sadly, this is out of my control, as I have to work on a PC at my office. For home/personal work, I do...

Re: FormalAddress

Franz, Thank you for the suggestion. While the price is not as attractive as with Dave's application, if it does as you claim, it will be worth it. I appreciate the tip! And if Dave comes out with a Windows version, I'm there. Steve Steve. There is an excellent tool for Windows called CopyContact th...

Using Scrivener for Project Management

Is anyone using Scrivener as a project management tool? I don't mean for management writing projects, necessarily, but for any kind of project. It seems to me that it should be a very serviceable program for this kind of application. I've set up a Project Management Template with the intention of pu...

Missing extended selection of whole words

Hello, I've been using Scrivener on my MacBook for three years now. It's a great application. I've just purchased a license for the Windows version to use at my office, where we are anchored to PCs. Mostly I'm pretty impressed with the Windows version. However, there is one function that is notably ...

Re: Does anyone use Hot Plan from Intuiware?

One deficiency I've found is no ability to set recurring tasks -- unless I missed it. Not a deal breaker, but it really should be a standard feature for serious task managers.
