Re: Is there a plan to include "Separate Scrivenings with single line breaks" to the Windows version too?

You can choose from three different Scrivenings separators in the beta.

I'm not on my Scrivener PC right now, so I can't tell you exactly where in Options the setting is located, but it's there. Be sure to check under Textual Marks, as it might be hidden there.

Re: Pasting Text Ignores Margins - Release Candidate 5

Yes, paste and match is also my workaround, unless I've got some other formatting going on in the copied text, e.g. underline, italics, highlighting, etc. In that case, I do a normal paste and fix the indent afterwards.

And for me, if I select multiple lines, only the first line's indentation is lost.
Agreed it's a bug. It also doesn't work like this in Windows Scriv 1.9.

Re: Error on automatic backups

This does look like a bug, but when you set the backup folder, did you copy/paste the path into 'Backup Location' or did you use the 'Choose...' button to navigate to the backup folder?

Try setting the backup folder again, using the 'Choose...' button to navigate to it.

Re: Setting the margins in the editor - having issues

The control strip you mention.....sounds great but I just purchased Windows Scriv 1 and I can't find that control strip. Maybe this is version terminology confusion. In Windows Scrivener v1, 'Composition Mode' is called 'Full Screen', and the 'Control Strip' is sometimes referred to as the 'Control...

While the current v1.9 version of Windows Scrivener does not have dark themes, the Windows v3 version will. Windows V3 Scrivener is currently in beta.

Re: [NB] How to create a shortcut to another document in the Binder?

FYI, L&L responded to the bug report above. Not a bug. By design, the automatically created back-link is not automatically deleted if the original Doc Bookmark is deleted. But they did move it to the Wish List as a possible new feature. By the way, in case you didn't catch it in the manual, you ...

Automatic Back-links not automatically removed

RC5 After creating a Document Bookmark, pointing DocA -> DocB, Scrivener automatically creates a back-link from DocB->DocA . (Yay!) When the Document Bookmark pointing DocA -> DocB is deleted, the corresponding back-link from DocB->DocA is NOT automatically deleted, and must be removed manually. (Bo...

It's supposed to be automatically removed, so I think you've found a bug, Tex.

Re: How to create a shortcut to another document in the Binder?

When you create a Document Bookmark, a back-link is created in the target document, pointing back to the originating document. So if your viewing the Suspects folder, you'll see back-links in the Inspector. Same thing is true for Document Links, which I didn't know, so thanks for asking the question...

Re: How to create a shortcut to another document in the Binder?

Hi Tex, There are couple of tools you might be able to use to accomplish this. You can use Document Links to create links from text to Documents or Folders. If you want your links embedded in the text of a Document or a Folder, this is what you'd use. See the section of the Tutorial called Document ...

Re: Setting the margins in the editor - having issues

..but despite that the bizarre stretched out composition mode is not for me. tarzan, In Windows Scriv (1.9 and beta) composition mode width & height are adjustable via the control strip that pops up at the bottom of the screen, along with Text Scale. So it doesn't have to be stretched out, if t...
