Re: Everything is Underlined When Copy Pasting to New Doc

Hi dovenart, It's been my experience that these kind of formatting challenges are not uncommon when copying from one app to another. I have found ONE workaround, by creating a new document, writing random text to "prime" the formatting, then pasting via "paste and match styles". ...

Re: It's official - Constructive Criticism as a form of improvement is DEAD!

I have also been a user with Todoist for many years, and back in the day, they used to have a user forum, but the clammer and vitriol coming in their direction, specifically because there were so many suggestions for improvement, many of which would have required the whole software to be re-enginee...

Re: Switch chapters in Composition Mode

If one doc is selected in the Binder, it works as you describe. If you have a series of contiguous docs selected, it will not traverse beyond them. Also, the hierarchial folder structure will not be displayed along the bottom border. You may already realize this, but when you select multiple docume...

Re: Lost writing due to faulty syncing

Hi kadavy, Sorry to hear you lost writing. :( For future reference, you can backup a project from the iPad by tapping Edit above the project list, selecting the project, then tapping the Export icon along the bottom row. That will create a ZIP archive of the project, which you can email to yourself....

If you want the developers to see this, please post it in the beta forum, or request a Mod to move it. :D

Re: 1.9 vs Beta 2.22 - Which is correct?

Tiho, Thanks for the reply. Were you able to reproduce the issue I saw? When I select Tex...lic in the selector, the style jumps back to Medium in the selector, etc. The Style selector was not respecting my choice the first time, I had to make the selection twice before it 'took'. Best, Jim By the ...

Re: 1.9 vs Beta 2.22 - Which is correct?

Thanks for the feedback, Wordjoy. It makes sense, except now that I'm trying it out, beta 22 doesn't seem to be handling this new method consistently. I'm using the IBM Plex Mono font throughout a document, with Regular style. I select a paragraph, and use the style selector to walk through the vari...

Re: Infinite TRIAL mode

Does anyone know if Scrivener will ever have a huge watermark on saved files while writing on trial mode? Or maybe a reduced time? Trial and licensed versions are the same software. There is no functional difference between them. You will have access to the trial for 30 days of usage, after which i...

Re: Set default project folder

Hi Skip, You are correct, there is currently no place in options to designate a default folder to store newly created projects. But there *is* a default folder for new projects. Scrivener remembers the last folder you created a new project in, and uses that as the default for subsequent new projects...

1.9 vs Beta 2.22 - Which is correct?

I'm seeing differences in how v1.9 and beta 2.22 handle font styles. The screenshots below show how each handles the IBM Plex Mono font, which has many variations. It is freely available from IBM on github Here's how 1.9 handles IBM Plex Mono's various styles. v1.9.png Here's what beta 2.22 does. v2...

Re: Syncing’s a Mess - iPad, iPhone, Mac

Update 2: I'm not sure what I did, but it worked! Clearing out all my old files, watching it sync on my computer, and then watching it sync on my iPad cleared it up. Glad you were able to get it working! In addition to the advice upthread about syncing best practices, another thing you may want to ...

This works, although when I did it, only the document's text was brought into the new 1.9 project from the beta project. I had to copy Inspector Notes by hand.

How are you opening Scrivener beta?

From the Start menu?

From a shortcut you placed somewhere?
