Re: Bullets in Full Screen mode

Good idea, Jennifer. Thanks for the reply and the workaround.

I see from the Mac vs. Windows list that this is already a Mac feature. My assumption is that it will be eventually added to Windows, so I won't bother putting it on the wish list!

Re: How to do a Timeline in Scrivener

Mr X, thanks for the insights into your learning process. I had never even heard of Scrivener up until about a month ago, when I downloaded the trial. I have been in the process for most of this year of plotting my first novel in OneNote. After an hour of playing around with Scrivener, I knew that I...

Re: How to do a Timeline in Scrivener

Sounds like Aeon Timeline would work well for you. Mr X Thanks for the suggestion, Mr X I had a peek at Aeon Timeline a couple of weeks ago, and it seemed like overkill for my needs. Not to mention I am in the throes of the Scrivener learning curve. I am not trying to master all of the possibilitie...

Re: How to do a Timeline in Scrivener

TromboneAl, this is a great example of out of the box thinking, thanks for putting it out there. My story has concurrent events taking place over a relatively short specific timeline, durations are important for me to keep straight, so I will probably still need to put something together in Excel to...

Bullets in Full Screen mode

Is there a way to start a bullet list while in Full Screen mode?

Thanks,

Re: View/Outline/Expand All -- Feedback

I thought that sometimes View/Outline/Expand All didn't work. I then realized that it was because if the binder has focus, it will be expanded and the outline will not. Since "Outline" seems to refer to a specific thing (the outline), and is never used to refer to the binder, you might wa...

Ver 1.7.3.0 Outliner collapses after doc moved to trash

Hi,

The Outliner collapses after doing a "move to trash" on a document. Occurs with Shift+Del and also when using Right click.

Please let me know if you have trouble recreating.

Thanks,
Jim

Re: Ver 1.7.3.0 crashes when moving in Outliner

Thanks for the fast reply Jennifer. I am happy you were able to recreate the issue! I had already been saving/backing up before any Outliner changes. But turning off the linked editors is a great idea, as it is much easier than closing/reopening/resizing/repositioning the other pane. I will definite...

Re: Ver 1.7.3.0 crashes when moving in Outliner

One additional note: the split pane seems to be related to the underlying cause. I don't experience this issue unless the pane is split, so that is my workaround until this is fixed.

Ver 1.7.3.0 crashes when moving in Outliner

I have not seen any reports of something similar to this on the forum. I am using Scrivener on Win XP and Win 7 Starter PCs. Scrivener sporadically crashes when changing the indent level (Ctrl+Left, Ctrl+right) in the Outliner, on both systems. By crash, I mean the program ends without error message...

Re: Stacked Corkboard

Update: I noticed and checked the "Differences between Mac and Windows versions" post. While it doesn't mention Stacked Corkboards specifically, it does say: "On the Mac, you can select multiple folders in the binder and have them appear as rows or columns on the corkboard; this is no...

Stacked Corkboard

Hi, New user, first time post. Currently in honeymoon phase with Scrivener! I've searched but cannot find the answer. A number of online tutorials mention that Corkboard stacking works in the Windows version, for instance this one: http://www.simplyscrivener.com/features/freeform-stacked-corkboards/...
