Re: Troubleshooting Dropbox Syncing

Hi LynnDarley, Take a look at this thread and see if any of the suggestions work, particularly try this on your iPhone: Settings > Scrivener > Reset Scrivener > Clear Dropbox Sync Cache. http://literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=36215 If none of that works, than you might want to ...

Re: HELP! Document is blank after crash.

Congratulations! You dodged a bullet with that one. Are you in the practice of leaving Scrivener up for days at a time? If so, better change that habit, as I believe Scrivener default is to backup at shutdown. To prevent this stress from happening again, you should read this post about backups: http...

Re: HELP! Document is blank after crash.

Take a look at the manual, Appendix G.

That will tell you the folder where your writing is actually stored, within your project folder.

Look through the .rtf files and see if you can find your missing chapter.

Re: Copy select folders from one project to a different one in IOS

I suppose I can simply save my first project under a new name and then delete the manuscript folder structure, keeping only the folders I need, but there must be a more elegant solution to copy/paste from one project to another. Your proposal is probably the simplest way to accomplish this in the c...

@rdale and brookter, thanks for the clarification.

@nevena, sorry for introducing uncertainty where there is none. Have you tried the Scratch Pad functionality?

Re: How to share notes between multiple projects?

Hi Robert,

Have you seen anything from L&L about a change to Scratch Pad functionality in next major release?

I thought I had, but searching could not find the post. Now I'm thinking they were referring to Project Notes, not Scratch Pad.

Re: How to share notes between multiple projects?

You can use the Scratch Pad to do what you want. It works well for this purpose. See section 10.3 in the manual. That said, I *believe* I heard that the Scratch Pad functionality will be going away in the next major release of Scrivener and replaced by something comparable. (But I might be wrong abo...

Does this mean L&L has stopped selling through Amazon, or that Scrivener 2 is about to be replaced by 3?

From U.S., I can still see Scrivener 2 available for sale on Amazon. FWIW

Re: How to access Scrivener project from a diff comp with Scrivener?

Hi Gina, Prior to acquiring my iPad/iOS Scrivener and signing up with DropBox, I used OneDrive to share Scrivener projects between multiple Windows PCs. The way I did this was that my OneDrive folder on all machines was designated as Scrivener's backup folder. Whenever Scrivener closed, it would zip...

See this thread, maybe the solution mentioned inside will help: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=36483&p=225601&hilit=slow#p225601 If it doesn't, you may want to send an email to the L&L Windows support team. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/support.php

Re: How to access Scrivener project from a diff comp with Scrivener?

Would this be the same reason my Research folder keeps randomly deleting files when I switch between my desktop and laptop computers? I've been keeping the project folder on Google Drive. I thought it was to do with one computer being Windows 7 and the other Windows 10. I have no idea if this is th...

Hi Repelstale

Glad to hear that you found a tool that works for you.

Thanks for sharing that a Windows version of iThoughts is on the way, I wasn't aware of that!

Re: How to access Scrivener project from a diff comp with Scrivener?

Hi Creslix, You mention "backup" in your post, but you really seem to be about asking about storing and syncing your projects from the cloud. You should use DropBox to share Scrivener projects across computers or iOS devices. It is the *only* current cloud service that can handle Scrivener...
