Re: PDF manipulation apps

For annotating PDFs, merging PDFs (i.e. appending 1 PDF to another, or adding pages from one PDF to another) or even just rearranging the order of pages in a PDF, I use Preview in OSX. I used to use Skim and PDF Lab, but with the advances in Leopard, and even more so in Snow Leopard, I use Preview ...

Oh.. oops...

So, I've done some outlining, and thinking about my scenes and characters and all of a sudden I had a plot and characters and whatnot. I initially wanted to go for some sort of slasher novel, but perhaps this whole sitting at home and watching lots of Nightmare on Elmstreet and Friday the 13th and H...

Re: Mozy or iDisk or DropBox .... ?

One of the things to keep in mind is what you want to *do*. If you occasionally want to make a backup (once per month or so), you're probably better of with getting a separate drive and leaving that at a friends house (clearly labeled so their teenage daughter doesn't accidentally use it to put her ...

Re: Pay the Writer

Ooh I met two great danes this summer (first ones I've ever seen). Imagine this, Nano (aptly named after her size) and I walking in a small town. We hear dogs barking up ahead, and though Nano doesn't like it, we continue our walk. At some point we get much closer, and I can see the paws of the two ...

It wasn't Latte...

I recently started drinking cold Latte Macchiatos (well, little sips) and yesterday I purchased the Cappuccino because I wanted to try it and boyfriend likes them. He dropped buy, saw my Latte Macchiatos and very happily bounced to the fridge when I said I had the cappuccino version there. He ripped...

Re: NaNo challenge

Character sheets, though, I never do. Those are recipes for disaster, for me. Maybe 'cause my characters tend to pop into my head before I know their situations, and then I use that to figure out my world and plot. (My NaNoWriMo MCs last year had started in my head as a sci-fi couple. I decided I l...
