Thanks for the hint.

They are really fast: About an hour after registering, I received the download link.

Contour looks interesting. I'll give the concept a try for a new novel I am planning.

Re: Papyrus Autor

One question... Does the AUTOR version of Papyrus come with the BASE database, or is it an extended version of a subset of existing functionality? My translation skills reached their limit before I could find out. On the http://www.papyrus.de/preise.htm page they say that both Papyrus 2008 and Papy...

Re: Papyrus Autor

This is from the Google translation. I can now papyrus AUTHOR order? Yes. Just click on our order page and go away. The German original says: "Kann ich jetzt schon Papyrus AUTOR bestellen? Ja. Einfach auf unsere Bestellseite gehen und loslegen." Translated by a human: "Can I order Pa...

Hi Andreas.

When LordLightning posted a link to the Mariner press release I was curious, too. Here are 2 interesting pages on TotallyWrite:

Re: New poll: What's your favorite word processor?

I use NeoOffice now and will switch to OpenOffice 3 once it's released: Both are great for exchanging documents with Microsoft Office and OpenOffice on Windows/Linux. Also, my favorite spellchecker (Langenscheidt Duden) cooperates with NO/OO. On my iBook, I use Bean instead as it is really fast (for...

Re: What is your favorite word processor to use with Scrivener?

Everything after the first draft I do with Papyrus , a German text processor and the only one with a spellchecker that really works. Andreas. The Duden spellchecker that is part of Papyrus is also available for OpenOffice 2.x for the Mac (not yet for the upcoming 3.0 edition) and can be made to run...

These fish face each other, their bodies and tails forming a cross. 2 fish in a group have the same si...

Oh my god, Vic.

I think I do not want to know what you fed to Google Translator (or whatever "translation" tool you abused). But I am pretty sure we will never get to see that lady schuhplattling on Top of the Pops.

My thought, that has been approved by my editor (in a large publishing house) is to deliver the pages as PDF files, that will be reviewed as PDF comments. Toralf. Make sure you and your editor use the same version of Acrobat. Some time ago, I received PDF files saved in Acrobat 7 containing a numbe...

There are lots of freebies out there, grisoft, etc. that work as well, if not better, than the commercial bits. Tha...

Re: Bootcamp/Fusion...

If she buys an iMac, can she install & use XP SP2 w/ Office (including Outlook)? Will it work just as well as a PC? Is there a reason she'd want bootcamp over fusion or vice versa? If she needs to she can use Bootcamp AND Fusion/Parallels. Bootcamp for all cases in which 100% compatibility and ...
