Re: Different Text Background Colors for Different Projects

Yes, and I jumped right at it :-)))

But seriously: I see your point about YAO but that option would be a welcome to me. Maybe in Scrivener 2.5.

Re: Different Text Background Colors for Different Projects

Hi Keith. Thanks for your suggestion. This would need to be a project preference, which isn't impossible (there are already project text preferences), but I'm wary of adding too many more options given the wealth that are already there already - so maybe one for further consideration in the future i...

Oh, I didn't realize that you had made a joke. Sorry.

BTW: I had to look up "facetious" myself :-)

Re: Ideas for "timeline-like" software for story planning?

Hah! well, it still looks like they ripped it off! :P I was looking at writers cafe and didn't realize that the previous incarnation was called storylines. By what they have on their website, writers cafe and scrivener emerged in 05. Thus my comment. In fact, the software you referred to in your in...

Re: Ideas for "timeline-like" software for story planning?

Hi. >Actually, their emergence was nearly concurrent. I didn't realize that until you said this so I checked both sites. "Nearly concurrent"? I bought a license for Storylines 1.x for Windows in 2003. The LitLatte forum started in the second half of 2005 (I registered in November). That ma...

>It looks like they ripped off scrivener's corkboard interface

Writers Cafe and Storylines had been around quite a while before Keith came out with Scrivener.

Re: No 1

A collection of stories by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, including "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich".
That's the book that got me started writing.
Where do we post feature requests?
What's wrong with the "Wish List" section for feature requests? And what about posting feedback, praises, ... in the "Feedback" section?

Thanks, Franz

In 1988, styles were introduced in Starwriter, the precursor of OpenOffice Writer. And Wordperfect got styles in vs5 which was p...

Re: New Navigation Pane boosts MS Word utility for writers

All I see here is that someone at Redmond (and the illiterate Mr. Yip) have been studying Scrivener closely and looking to emulate it, but strictly within the usual bounds of corporate piracy, you understand. Don't know about MS. But Yip clearly stated (on the Outliner Forum at http://www.outliners...

Re: Scrivener for iPad

Hi Amber. That said, Scrivener is going to be pretty smart about how it handles plain-text. Unless you alter things a lot, most of your formatting will not be preserved. Isn't there a "not" too much? On the other hand: What kind of formatting could be preserved when importing plain text? P...
