Beta 32 New Project doesn't use typewriter scrolling

When I create a new project in Beta 32, typewriter scrolling does not work. Regardless whether the checkbox for Typewriter scrolling in new projects or the Fullscreen option is selected, typewriter scrolling does not work. Typewriter scrolling in projects created in previous betas works without any ...

Re: Compile for print preview (Beta 3)?

Compile it to a Word, RTF, ODT, or other format. At the very top of the compile pop-up box is a drop-down that allows you to choose what format to compile.

Re: BETA 31 Copy from Scrivener to Word Processor doesn't paste format

No, this is in WPS Office (http://www.wps.com).

I realize that LibreOffice is dominant, but their spreadsheet doesn't handle dates prior to 1/1/1900. OpenOffice is the ONLY spreadsheet that I've found that does.

The question is why this has changed from 1.90.30.

Re: Accented characters don't work on Wine (Linux)

I use Mint (Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon) and run Scrivener under Crossover. I have loaded multiple "keyboards" (System settings | Keyboards) and do not have any problems.

It's not IBUS, but it works.

[LH4021] BETA 31 Copy from Scrivener to Word Processor doesn't paste format

I attempted to copy/paste from a Scrivener document to a document in my Word Processor (WPS) and it would not paste unless I pasted as text only. Attempting to paste with formatting resulting in nothing: no text, no spaces. When I attempted the same action in Open Office, I get the error: Requested ...

Re: best option for running Scrivener on Mint 19?

I tried installing the Scrivener beta for Linux under Linux Mint XFCE 19.1, and it installed OK as far as I know, but it never started up. No error message. It just never started. I'm running it in a virtual machine (VirtualBox). I have XFCE 19.1 AMD 64 Bit, running it with 4GB memory with no other...

Re: [Beta 22] Word count in Project targets not resetting

Along the same lines: In 1.9.X I could set a target per folder. In Beta 24 & 25 (I didn't use previous Betas very much) I can no longer set a target per folder, only per document. Per chapter (folder) targets transfer from 1.9X, but creating new targets doesn't. Is this a bug or a new direction ...

Regression in Project Search and whole project Find?

Last night I moved from Beta 24 to 25. I noticed this morning that doing a search through my whole project (nearly 65K words) didn't work. I could, for a while, do a document by document search with Ctrl-F, but then that stopped. I can enter text in the search field, but the "Next" button ...

Re: best option for running Scrivener on Mint 19?

The latest Beta version runs under Mint 19.1 if you've got WINE installed. PlayOnLinux is just an automated "shell" with WINE underneath. You must install PlayOnLinux or other WINE compilation before you can install Scrivener. I run Mint 19.1 on an old laptop. I use CodeWeaver's "Cros...

Re: Scapple and WINE for Linux

I use Codeweavers "Crossover" (a commercial WINE with necessary shims -- it automates all the WINE configuration and downloads) to run both Scrivener and Scapple. They work well, Drag and drop doesn't work. All other features of Scapple do.

Re: Which Linux distro do you use for Scrivener?

Deepin 2014.2 Desktop. I'm running both the Linux Beta (Debian 1.7.2.3 64-bit) and the Windows 1.7.1.0 version under CrossOver (Codeweavers) v. 14.0.5. The CrossOver install went flawlessly, without any tweaking needed. The Linux Beta did require the libaspell-dev library to be installed before spel...

Re: save .scriv files to usb stick, open in different computers

I store my Scrivener Project in a folder I sync with DropBox. I've never had an issue. I'm able to use any of my computers with Scrivener installed to work on my novel.
