Re: Keyboard shortcuts for superscript and subscript

I have a hard time getting a shortcut on the “1. 2. 3.” list type, but it triggers fine if I use “Format;Lists;(10)”. By "hard time" does that mean that it's impossible to target those numbered lists with the native Shortcuts method, and the only way is something like the tool you're desc...

Re: keyboard shortcut for applying keywords

I'd really like to be able to right-click a document in the Binder and add keywords that way, too. The Mac Finder tagging interface (with its blazing fast auto-completion) would be a nice UI model here. Just reviving this sentiment -- and going further. I'd love the above and/or the Inspector-style...

Re: Feature Requests / Suggestions

Second, and this is a lot more trouble, make "stacking" a persistent characteristic. This could mean cells in a stack could be dragged to another position in the stack and the stack would "re-stack" in the new order. Also, when a stack is surrounded by a magnetic shape, when the...

Scrivener Windows on a Surface Pro 4

This is the highest res device I've ever owned, with a whopping 2736 x 1824. Is the resolution the reason why Scrivener looks like this on it? And messes up screenwriting mode? scrivonSP4.png Or does the weird kerning have nothing to do with resolution? This was from a fresh install of Scrivener. I ...

Re: Parallels Access with iPad vs Surface 4 Pro.

I've got a lot of experience with both Mac and Windows Scrivener. I was Windows first, then Mac. If I'd never seen the Mac version, I'd be happy with the Windows one. However, having been exposed to Mac Scrivener, I prefer using it. Don't get me wrong. Windows Scrivener is still fantastic. But Mac S...

Re: Scrivener is way more difficult than I expected

I had similar issues learning Scrivener. I went back and forth between Scrivener and WriteWay Professional a few times, then, suddenly, I reached a critical mass with Scrivener. Seemingly overnight I 'got it'. Since then, I stopped looking and just started using. That said, like any other extremely...

Comment oddness: is it 2.7 or El Capitan?

I'm pretty sure this wasn't happening before, and I think it's after either 2.7 or EC. A few comments don't display anything except the 1st line (which I keep as the autogenerated author/timestamp) unless I click in them. And then when I escape out of them, they go back to just the 1st line. See the...

Re: Split screen

At first, it didn't let me do it.* Then it did. I don't know what I was doing differently, but my process is just to have them on the same desktop, long-press the green button on one of them and it just happens. Proof: SCRIV - SCAP SPLIT.png *EDIT: A bit more info. It went back to not working. It se...

Go to Preferences and choose Corkboard.

The fonts for the cards are set there.

The many mysteries of Underline By Word

I use Scrivener for screenplays, and for aesthetic reasons I (over)use Underline By Word. I just think it looks better with Courier. And right now I'm writing a very action-heavy script where I'm busting out all sorts of IN CAPS and underlines by words formatting to get the job done. I often switch ...

Re: Microsoft Word versus Scrivener

Scrivener is an entire writing system , in my opinion. The corkboard/card model is what makes it so incredibly powerful. It takes a little while for it all to click in in your understanding, but once it does the difference between it and Word is utterly profound. Word does what it does well (i.e. WY...
