Re: No Scapple preview in Scrivener

I was getting the same thing before 3.1.2 -- but not on all Scapples. I think it might have something to do with how many notes the Scapple has, but I can't be sure . Or rule out that RAM plays a part. I'm using a fairly wimpy MBA.

Re: Ignoring the time zone change in custom metadata = reverting to today's date

Let me know if you still see the issue in 3.1.2 when it's out. Ok, contracting columns is no longer an issue, but... ... something weird is happening with Aeon/Scrivener syncing after the update (at least for me). I'll explain in screenshots Here's an event created in Aeon with date and time: https...

Re: Scrivener + Scapple ... writing and mapping on the same application

I As it has been said in this thread before, and in the knowledge base, and in many other threads: we have no plans to combine these two completely different programs together into one. Scrivener and Scapple are two different applications, and should remain that way in my opinion. Although very ada...

Small usability suggestion: dropdown to persist when using Opt-click for multiple selections with Project Search

It's not a killer, but unless I've missed a way to keep it on screen, the dropdown that appears when you click the magnifying glass icon vanishes each time you click on one of the choices. That's fine when you're changing one thing, but if you're Opt-clicking to set up a complex search you have to c...

All the best,

Will do. Thanks for the bug splatting.

Re: Ignoring the time zone change in custom metadata = reverting to today's date

Could you please check the Project Settings to see if this date custom metadata field is set to "Ignore time zone changes"? Yup. That's the way it comes in from Aeon (with good reason, obviously). Here's proof (the custom format is my own tampering, but it happens with either my homebaked...

Re: Ignoring the time zone change in custom metadata = reverting to today's date

And I'm pleased to report it will be fixed in the next update. We found a few other oddities and got them cleaned up as well. You may have already found this oddity, but in case you haven't: I have a metadata date field pulled in from Aeon -- which automatically sets the field with the ignore toggl...

Re: names for shapes

Bumping this ancient topic to say that I use the exact method Nitram uses to label background shapes. Now that connection labels are a thing, is there any chance y'all might reconsider the idea of background shape labels? Re-bumping this with the same request -- it would make the Scapple OPML expor...

Re: Seeking Advice - Apple or Windows PC

Apple has a bad habit of forcefully obsoleting hardware in their yearly OS upgrades. I’d have to disagree with that statement. Mojave will run on equipment going back to 2012. Compatibility going back 6 years hardly qualifies as forcefully obsoleting equipment, and similar applies with iOS. I can f...

Fantastic -- just what I need. Many thanks. (I've been meaning to come to grips with RegEx, but my brain shuts down when I try. It would never have occurred to me to use it.)

Is there a quick way to remove the main text from multiple documents?

I completely understand the design decision as to why editing multiple documents in a Scrivenings view doesn't allow deletion or overwriting across file boundaries -- but is there some trick that will actually allow me to do this in another way? I have imported a bunch of files with text that has en...

Somehow managed to change the default font of lists in one project and can't work out how to reset it

I don't know what I did, but (only in one project) if I start a list in a blank document it switches to Helvetica. If I apply it to already existing text or below already existing text, it retains the default project font -- taken from Project Settings overriding Preferences. In other projects, star...

Re: Keyboard shortcuts for superscript and subscript

For what it is worth. I have had trouble in the past defining shortcuts in MacOS, thinking I had to define the whole 'path' (Format > Font > Baseline > Superscript). All you need to do however is define one for Superscript (and/or Subscript ). I've tried all sorts of ways to target this ticked item...
