Re: No Manual in eReader Format?

OK, this time I compiled to RTF, then created a new project and imported that and compiled to MOBI format. This is what it looks like on my Nexus Kindle reader:

Re: No Manual in eReader Format?

Well, with only about 20 minutes of effort, I was able to create a version that is readable on my Nexus 7. Thanks very much for making the .scriv file available to us. Here is what one page looks like: http://i.imgur.com/R9tBFWR.png What I did, and note that I've only had a few hours of experience w...

Re: No Manual in eReader Format?

I found it on this page:

I'll play with it.

Re: No Manual in eReader Format?

Thanks. I read (somewhere) that the manual is available in Scrivener format. Perhaps I could download that and compile some kind of version (small page pdf?) that I could read on my device. Where is that set of files?

Thanks!

No Manual in eReader Format?

I like to sit in front of the fire and read the manual.

So I was surprised that there is no manual in mobi or epub format so that I can read it on my Nexus 7. I assume you wrote the PDF manual using Scrivener, so it should be easy to compile an ePub version.

std::Bad_alloc

Created a new project and dragged and dropped a large RTF file onto a text file thing in the binders. After a delay I got an error message saying std::Bad_alloc. When I clicked OK, all instances of S shut down. Please put version information in a copyable format in your about box so I can copy and p...

Re: Toolbar Button for Save?

OK, got it. That's good, but also bad, because it violates the usual Windows convention for editing a file. That is, you load it, and until you save it, you've got it "in memory." It uses more of a database convention. I understand why you do it that way, and you have snapshots and backups...

No Chapter Name in the Text Itself, Right?

I want to make sure I'm using Scrivener in the way it is intended. I'm creating a Kindle book. The compile seems to work best if the text itself doesn't include the title of the chapter. The title is only in the binder pane. That is, it should look something like this: http://i.imgur.com/RvTJsEj.jpg...

Text Cut Off -- Should I Be Concerned?

Just starting on using Scrivener to create a Kindle book. One problem I noticed today is that the numbers in this list were cut off. http://i.imgur.com/UFzSb7q.png I'll refine lists and such in the future, but I'd like to know how that could happen, and whether the problem is at Scrivener's end or A...

Toolbar Button for Save?

Very new to Scrivener,, and I like what I see so far.

I can't seem to find a toolbar button for "Save." If there isn't one, can I add one with toolbar customization?

Thanks,

Al
