Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

I've arrived in beta territory with the .34 release. Loving it, as are some friends, who've never heard of, or just haven't ever tried Scrivener, and are still lost down at the...er….docs.

Two thumbs way up from all.

Re: Changing Character Names Globally In a Project

I have no solution to your question. However, during my working years, I recall doing something along these lines with 'merged fields' in Word. But, it involved building the file of names to be merged (bulk mail letters, for instance), and then putting that placeholder in the master document. If I u...

Re: How many fiction writers do we have here?

hi jack, welcome to the forum. i like the content, but - wow - that,s quite a long sentence to get away with as an opener. Yep, taken me this long to get back here. Thanks for reading, and for the feedback. At that time, I had taken a Great Courses class on Long Sentence writing, and was tr...

Re: Open a link in Scapple

Glad to be of help. I've had Scrivener for years, but only really got back to it after struggling so hard to produce a work using Google Docs....and, the hair-pulling task of keeping everything all straight and in one location. I decided it was time to get serious with Scrivener...thus, I'm fairly n...

Re: Historical Fiction

My favorite genre. And, while I do a lot of research, I've found that using just a few kernels of truth, give me a launchpad for a fictional aspect that can be as simple or elaborate as I want it to be. As a for instance, in the latest attempt, I took a few easily researched facts about The Boneyard...

Re: Open a link in Scapple

I'm not experiencing that problem here, on my Mac. I do sometimes have to make an extra click to activate the link. However, it does seem to work right from the Scapple work space, within the app.

Re: Feature Request Wishlist

All this in a £17 app? Mark Well, not likely. Scapple did start as a virtual give-away. Now, it's $18USD. L&L will know how to adjust the price to reflect the investment in time and talent to bring an enhanced feature set to Scapple. Or, as with most apps now, multiple price points could reflec...

Re: Feature Request Wishlist

I'm particularly supportive of the suggested enhancements to arrows. I was about to create a new "features request" for the very same things, but was reading first, in order to see if anyone else had already posted this. Having enhanced control over arrows (color, thickness, style) would g...

Re: Feature Request: Could the Notes have backs?

Would a separate "details" panel for individual notes provide what is needed by the OP? I hesitate to re-use the word "notes", but some other apps provide a way of attaching expanded, descriptive text to the otherwise intended short notes (nodes) of a map. I might want to have a ...
