But having the editor locked is the only way to move an item without changing what's open in the binder. Doesn't the Mac version automatically update it?

Create some documents in draft.

Click draft to open in an editor.

Switch to scrivenings mode for that editor.

Lock editor.

Move a document up or down in binder.

Result: editor still shows the old order of documents.

I already had it enabled. The key here is scrivenings mode.

For example, open left editor in outline mode, right in scrivenings, both with the same folder selected. Then in Outliner select open in other editor. When you click on documents in Outliner, the right editor doesn't scroll to the selected document like it does if you select it in the Binder.

Yeah, I created it and it still didn't copy over.

As an aside, it would be convenient if they were created automatically.

When I drag a file from one project to another, none of the custom metadata for that document is copied over.

This is definitely a bug. It doesn't work like this in the Mac version (last I checked, anyway) or in any other word processor I've used.

And for me, if I select multiple lines, only the first line's indentation is lost.

In RC5, there's no longer arrows to expand and collapse subdocuments in Outliner view.

Also, in dark mode, the arrows to expand/collapse in Binder are invisible when highlighted.

In Word, URLs are counted as one word as they should be, but not in the Scriv beta. Anything delimited by etc, shouldn't be counted as a split when there's no space between them and what they're delimiting.

When writing in outliner mode, if the text goes off screen there's no way to see what you're writing unless you hit escape to get it to resize. But then the same thing happens agian with each line.
