Re: Digital pens

Well, I've been using my Livescribe pen for two months and I can honestly say I love it. I even ended up buying a small notebook type pad as well as the A5 books, as it's just easier to lug around (I like travelling light these days). Although I didn't finish NaNo, it has made a huge difference to m...

Re: Digital pens

My big problem is that I write lots of stuff in notebooks but then never get around to transcribing any of it. I've got little writing pads everywhere with bare ideas, whole paragraphs, notes & whatnot...but it might take me months to get them into the laptop. If ever. So, I've just bought mysel...

Re: Moonlighting

I loved that show, Keith. It had great writing and two main actors that had real onscreen chemistry. I could happily sit down and watch it again but I haven't seen it on the TV for years. I can still recall my favourite line from the show that I believe was in the promo: "Yes, I am looking up y...

Re: MacHeist NaNo Bundle

I just bundle-upped. I want to try the Journal thing - it looks like fun.

Not interested in the FTP program though. I use Filezilla. I've tried Transmit (slow, times out, non-intuitive defaults), CyberDuck and Yummy but none did much for me. Filezilla is my weapon of choice nowadays.

Re: J.D. Salinger RIP

Like Vonnegut, Salinger has a very special place in my reading favourites. I couldn't agree more with your opinions, Keith. Catcher in the Rye speaks to me like very few other books have done.

Re: TODO - Mac & Touch/iPhone?

I've been using Reqall . It's awesome and (with the pro version) it's got push notification, so it beeps on your sleeping iPhone with reminders, as well as emailing. I've tried quite a few others (aNote, Evernote and another one I can't remember), but I've settled on Reqall (even if they can't spell...

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch

Oh yes, I'd buy one as well. Sadly, it doesn't look like Apple are going to allow the use of a bluetooth keyboard any time soon. I've pretty much caved in and bought myself a 9" netbook that is as light as a feather (okay, a big feather) and fits into my handbag (my beloved MacBook was killing ...

Re: Scribbler™ for iPhone -- Early Look

I waded my way through the web equivalent to "press 1 to listen to elevator music, press 2 to be directed to another list of options..." and put in a support request to iTunes. Apparently, my message is important to them and they'll get to it when the lattes arrived. Or something. Fingers ...

Re: Get Writeroom for free

I got it. Just downloading WriteRoom now. Did anyone else see a really, really long serial number for it? It went off the edge of my screen, so I'm not sure I got the whole thing  Edited: I did. Got WriteRoom working - whoa! black screen & green writing. It's...interesting. I bought a Mac...
