Re: Best way to add a separator between text within a document

To see it you'll need to either edit one of your own custom formats, or create a new custom format, or duplicate & edit one of the existing built in formats. Screen Shot 2018-05-20 at 4.56.16 PM.png And then you'll be able to see the Separators pane (and many more). Screen Shot 2018-05-20 at 4.5...

Re: Tweeting from Scrivener 3

As the others have indicated, it's at Project | Show Project Targets. Re: Binder: Italicized section titles

Nothing bad, you just didn't name the files, so Scrivener picked up the first couple words of the text within the files to use as the binder title.

Just click on the title bar in the file, or in the binder, and type a title there and the italics will go away.

Re: Styles do not apply

To do this, I choose the Styles Panel and use Select Similar Formatting to change first the titles and then the body, separately. In so doing, only some of the titles I have selected and some of the body text I have selected change. I expect all selected text to change. Help me change all I have se...

Project Statistics, average length of selected docs with no selection

Think I confused the poor thing. :D In 3.0.2, I did a search and then went to Project Statistics and tried to view the stats for the selected docs - problem is I neglected to actually select any. Screen Shot 2018-03-13 at 12.35.53 PM.png Works as expected when I actually select something.

Re: I preferred the version 2 Playback UI

Get the 3.0.2 update. - it makes the audio controls always on screen (though still larger than before). Also adds an Insert Media Time Stamp option.

3.0.2 - Insert Media Time Stamp

Thanks for adding that. I haven't played with it extensively yet, but my initial impression is: awesome sauce. :D For flexibility it'd be nice if the insert worked in a metadata field as well. I noticed in a couple instances that the time inserted was 1 second less than that displayed on the media c...

Re: A way to determine word count at a specific part?

No need to select scads of text, just click into a word somewhere in your document, then right-click and have a look at the Writing Tools submenu, you should see something like this: Screen Shot 2018-03-09 at 11.05.17 AM.png Notes: Do not actually select the word where you right - click, otherwise y...

Re: Auto-insert 'Day of Week' into metadata (or other location)

What about using the Modified: date in the General Metadata? I forget how that displays in Scriv 2, but in Scriv 3 I can get it to display the day of the week by going into System Preferences | Language & Region | Advanced | Dates and then dragging the Day of week field up into the Medium area. ...

Re: sync with Box.com app?

Thanks everyone. Perhaps you're right and I’ll move other stuff. Sigh. And I don't know how I got 50GB on Box, maybe because I was an early adopter, I’ve had it for a while now. Yeah, I've got 50GB on Box as well. IIRC they had a special where if you signed up and downloaded the iOS app as well (or...

Re: Losing saved texts

Just in case because I've seen this happen a lot - By any chance do you backup using File | Save As...? What happens when you use that is Scriv makes a copy of your project and then continues on working in the new copy . So say you did a File | Save As... to back up your project into a backups folde...

Make sure you're actually viewing the forum section you want to post in, ie Mac Tech Support and not, say, the Active Topics or New Posts views.

The New Topic button should be pretty hard to miss up at the top, like so:
