Re: What Does Your Workspace Look Like?

I can't be the only geek in these waters who has 2 displays. Right?

Re: Scrivener for iPad

even if the knowledge of what would be involved makes me want to curl up in a corner and weep. :) Don't. In your blog you've posted a screen of the new version of Scrivener (back then labeled 1.5) in August 2008. Since then (and way before) you've been working on this version. That's years of work....

Re: Scrivener for iPad

I've just browsed through the forums of various OS X developers. Guess what? Everyone's being pestered "Hey, your app would be perfect for the iPad!" style. ;)

It will be interesting to read about this year's WWDC ... how much emphasis will be put on OS X? Let's see.

Re: Scrivener for iPad

I agree, that there's no need for Scrivener on iPad right now.Time will show if it becomes a viable platform or if it goes the way of the Newton. And if the iPad is here to stay, it will evolve. Reaction to the first iPod was a disaster, and it became an icon. The iPhone took some time to become an ...

Re: The Growth of E-readers

I have enough of discussing e-readers. So I've finally ordered a Sony 505. I'm really eager to find out if it works for me as good as I expect.

Re: TODO - Mac & Touch/iPhone?

I tried Things and Hit List, but recently got hooked by the concept of Task Paper. I found it to be exactly what I was a looking for. A companion iPhone/touch app is in development.

Re: Is there any logic in shortcut key combinations?

A hundred years ago, when I and home computers were still young, I owned a Schneider CPC Joyce computer. That's an "Amstrad" in the rest of the world, btw. ;) Keys for cut, copy, paste would be great. But one thing that really pleased me when I switched to the Mac was that you press the f...

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

In a way understand the feeling. I bought new Asics running shoes recently and just got to know that a new version of this series is about to ship in December. I should have waited another month or so. But still, I paid and got the shoes like advertised. All I need to do now is run. :)

... speaking of which, we have new sequences, just today. Looks great.

And seems to be slated for May 2010

The main character is a bestselling horror writer, so there's relevance. ;)

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Ah, I never had a PS2, only an Xbox - I was very jealous of Shadow of the Colossus. I remember seeing reviews and thinking it looked amazing. You might want to keep an eye on the team's first PS3 title: The Last Guardian A few years ago I did track down the old Indiana Jones and the something of At...

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

What sort of adventure games do you mean? The Point and Click games, without any action whatsoever. Classics would be the Lucasarts titles like Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle. The genre has been "dead" for quite some time now, but great titles are released regularly. For the majorit...

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Guess I need to add a few thoughts here. Not so much on the Cheetos front, yes, there are "fast food" games which offer a quick fix of cheap enterntainment, and yes, the medium needs to mature, just like movies and novels did, but there already are games that offer unique experiences, stor...

Re: Task managers and other constricts...

Very interesting. I remember looking at v1, but wasn't impressed by it. This functionality might be exactly what I was looking for - a flexible equivalent to a paper list. So, off to another evaluation period, after already spending way too much time fiddling with Things, Hit List, Curio, Notebook, ...

Re: The Growth of E-readers

Any of you using a Sony Reader with OS X? Wikipedia says: "Sony released an official Mac OS X client for the Reader with the release of the PRS-300 and PRS-600. It is reported to work with the PRS-505, PRS-700, Reader Pocket Edition and Reader Touch Edition. The software works under 10.6 Snow L...
