Re: Happy Birthday Keith!

Just because David vandalised his little car with a giant Scrivener sticker, he now feels he has to buy me a gift that will advertise Scrivener to the surfers, air sea rescue and life guards of Cornwall, as they watch my board bobbing in the waves while trying to save me from drowning. So next year...

Re: Surreal day

Happy Birthday! Just recently I've had the same surreal feeling when I realized that I had left university 10 years ago. These ten years simply made WOOSH. Okay - I got a few children, published a few books, bought a house. It's not like nothing happened. But when I meet a group of students I have t...

Sorry about that. I thought it was a license ... well ... there is a certain resemblance ... ;)

Re: I have launched my Jason Dark series

Then you're partly to blame what's become of me - a writer for games, especially adventures. I have fond memories of Ooze on my Amiga - it fell right into my early Stephen King phase (which, well, has never really tapered) and fitted nicely. It was a pleasure not to rely on a dictionary while playin...

Re: What you do while commuting?

SI see others have solved this problem in either of two ways: listening music, or reading a book. Can I say it? As a writer an musician, I hate using books or music as a distraction. If I read, or I listen, it is an act of love. So no love for me: just, the fact I'm totally naked when traveling in ...

But if I have several projects open in the background - which scratch pad is opened?

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

"Tales of Monkey Island" has just been released for the Mac. And who already bought it for PC can use the licence code for this version as well.

Great news for guys like me - and adventure fans on the Mac in general. :D

Re: Scrivener for iPad

Remember that Apple is perfectly happy (and legally entitled according to the agreement app store developers sign up to) to block applications which duplicate existing functionality or they feel may confuse the users. I think this only applies to functions that are there out of the box. iWork will ...

Re: Happy Birthday David!

P.P.S. Yes, this thread is partly in existence because I am such a poor friend that I have yet to buy Mr J his birthday present. Sorry, David! I will make sure it's something good for when you visit though - although obviously I can't buy anything too big because it would never fit in your car. I h...

Re: Post your Scrivener screenshots here!

This screenshot is from an unreleased test version of Scrivener. There is no way to access some of those options, yet. :) COME ON! If this thread is intended as viral marketing for Scrivener 2 I'll boycott it! :D And, by the way, I've tried that concept with the vertical split and the narrow corkbo...

Re: Scrivener for iPad

I think I've met one person with one, that's about it. iPhone's just aren't affordable in the UK. The people who have them either have them through their jobs or are rich enough to afford expensive gadgets.) Just a side note - I see people with iPhones all the time (okay, some may have iPod touches...

Re: Post your Scrivener screenshots here!

My setup is fairly traditional: http://www.falkoloeffler.com/pics/scriv.jpg I usually have both panes open, writing in the lower, organising in the upper. In this case the story in the novel consists of three days. Every day is a subfolder in the binder. And there are two main story lines - they are...
