Style Shortcuts

OK, I give up. I have two questions:

First, how do I assign (initially or edit) keyboard shortcuts for styles (Header 1 etc)?

Second, how could I have possibly ever found that out? Help didn't. :)

Re: Markdown Styles, including "Emphasis"

(and for that matter may not look italic; “Emphasis” can be bright red if you want)

Keith says Green. You folks need to get your stuff together. :D

Thanks!

Re: Markdown Styles, including "Emphasis"

Hi Ioa, I think I'm on your page here. What surprised me was that command-I put italic in the text yet made, apparently, no semantic mark at all in there. Somehow Scrivener knows it's italic, definitely doesn't think it's "Emphasis", seems not to think it's anything at all. If I get to usi...

Markdown Styles, including "Emphasis"

I was experimenting with Scrivener Styles in my project that produces Markdown. I applied Heading 2 to a line, then compiled. No formatting came out, as expected, because I have the general convert to markdown switch off (because it escapes any markdown that I type in manually). Then I added ## pref...

Re: Scrivener / Git / GitHub / Terminal

Yes I am becoming more and more into S3. If Windows people are left behind for a while, so be it. :)

Re: Scrivener / Git / GitHub / Terminal

Yes, zipping makes sense from a number of angles. I'll have to see whether I can find a way of triggering a zipping from my Ruby script.

Are Scrivener files compatible between Windows and Mac?

Scrivener / Git / GitHub / Terminal

I've read 17 pages of search for "Git". Hoping to get a little wisdom and summing up, and to put it in my little Scriv-Git-Pages booklet. https://ronjeffries.github.io/scriv-git-pages/index.html It would be useful (I imagine) to put the current Scrivener project up in the files area of the...

Re: Project does not have .scriv extension

Feel happy at having contact with another human, and helping them. :) Which has led me to another issue: I was going to use Ruby::FileUtils to copy the "file" over. As it is a directory, FileUtils.cp doesn't want to do that. I'll try just using a copy command but I'm wondering what GitHub ...

Re: Project does not have .scriv extension

Who ARE you people? Have you no lives? :)

Thanks!

Yes it does seem to be there and hidden. I didn't know some could be hidden and some not.

Thanks! :)

Project does not have .scriv extension

I was just adding a step to make a copy of my GitHub-Pages Scrivener project to the GitHub project, so people could look at the file and (one likes to imagine) learn from it. I noticed that unlike most of the Scrivener projects in my Dropbox/Apps/Scrivener folder, this one doesn't have the .scriv ex...

Re: Trailing Spaces in Title Header on Folders Only

Dayum! My pal and I actually remarked about the space-space line break thing this morning but didn't see how it could be implicated.

Thanks!

Re: Trailing Spaces in Title Header on Folders Only

And here is a project bug-titles. Note in the compiled output that the title for the folder, Testing the compile, has two spaces following the terminating pound sign / hash mark / octothorp.

Thanks!

Re: Trailing Spaces in Title Header on Folders Only

trying from home with drag:

Says "invalid file extension scrformat".

Zipping ... that seems to work. I'll work on a sample project now as well.

Thanks,

R

Re: Trailing Spaces in Title Header on Folders Only

Tried to export the scrformat and load it here. It shows up as greyed out in Finder. Is it special? Can't seem to attach it.

Re: Trailing Spaces in Title Header on Folders Only

Can I just copy the .scriv file of my real thing and pare it down? Does that work to duplicate a thing?
