Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

I hardly know where to start on that, so I won't attempt most of it ... Point 3, Apple has been 100% clear that it has no intention of going the single OS route that Microsoft has taken because it believes the two platforms have different roles. Points 5-7, this is nonsense, iPads do support the RT...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

This is a very long (and not always positive) discussion. So sorry if I post another opinion! My intention is to open up a little the focus and write down some considerations. 1. I want Scrivener for the iWatch, seriously! 2. We are becoming Apple Consumers, namely we are falling in the trap: Apple ...

Re: Footnotes deleted

Dear Amber thank you for taking all this time for this minute issue. For me it is not a big problem: I may use something like XxxX and then after compiling etc. I may find/change this garbage with the symbol I like, etc. Still remains a little problematic that something so small it is capable of del...

Re: Footnotes deleted

Thank you. I have made a rude screen-cast (I am not good on this) and posted here: [URL Removed] I have also included two scrivener projects: the original and the modified. I used Fontexplorer to insert the character (I suppose you can also use FontBook or PopChar). Please let me know. PS. The above...

Re: Footnotes deleted

Thank you for the answer. I was using Baskerville for footnotes and I used a wingding (a fleur) from Adobe Garamond Premier Pro., the top in this image: http://fr.academic.ru/pictures/frwiki/65/Aldine_typographique_%28Zapf%29.png I was working on a project and I tried Composition Mode. I closed the ...

Footnotes deleted

I am using latest version of Scrivener and El Capitan. I was working on a project with many notes. These notes have been converted to use the font Baskerville. This morning editing some notes I added a dingbat from another font to mark a point inside these footnotes. It was working fine. I closed th...

Styling Footnotes - Comments

Many times on Scrivener Forums has been pointed out the importance of Footnotes/Comment for Academic writing, and it has been noted that this section is a little "underpowered". Appart for the issue of the last line disappearing on F/C, I have noticed other oddities (I hope I am wrong) and...

Re: Obscured line in footnote

The issue has not been solved with El Capitan update (10.11.1). I have discovered that if I use Baskerville as the font for footnotes and comments the problem seems to disappear.

Re: Obscured line in footnote

Keith, thank you for the answer. I have to disagree, too. The problem occurred after I updated to El Capitan and to version 2.7: previously I had not such an issue. Which is a small one, but very annoying, as Paolo says. The issue is solved if you adopt a particular font. Not many: Helvetica (not He...

Re: Comment oddness: is it 2.7 or El Capitan?

I suspect that this has to do with El Sargent! There is an issue also with footnotes that do not show the last line. For a similar issue with Nisus see:

I hope a solution is on the way.
Thanks

Re: Obscured line in footnote

I can confirm that this bug is alive, annoying, and need to be fixed. Scrivener 2.7 and El Capitan.
Thanks

PS I, like Paolo, write in Italian: maybe the Italian language is a little bit too expansive…

Re: Annotations on my pdf's in Scrivener

I have noticed that a pdf not embedded in a project but only referenced cannot be annotated by Scrivener (the text highlight function does not work). Is this correct, or I am making some mistake? For academic writing, the viewing and manipulating (annotating) of PDFs is extremely important: on this ...

Re: Scrivener 2.6.5 Svelte Icons

Really the new icons look very nice. Good Job!
I have used in the past beta versions of Scrivener without any issue. Should I trust this new beta and drop version 2.6 (Mac) which I found very stable and complete?
Thanks.

Re: Tried Ulysses three times...

Thanks for the news. I am curious to know if the imminent (so it seems) upgrade would contain the most important feature that you have announced many times: namely paragraph and character styles. It is not clear if these styles would be compatible with Nisus and MSWord Styles…
Have a wonderful day.
