Re: Templates in iOS

As far as I know: no templates on the iOs, only on desktop. You can create a project from your template on desktop and sync with Dropbox.

Have a nice day.

Re: iOS backups

As far as I know: no backups on Scrivener iOs, only on the desktop. But anytime you open a Scriv project on your desktop you create a backup.

Have a nice day.

Re: From Aliases to Real files

Thanks Amber for the quick answer.

In other softwares (for instance in DevonThink) there are two control click choices very useful for aliases: Show in finder and Move to database. Maybe in the future Scrivener will have such functions.

Thanks.

From Aliases to Real files

I am moving one project from desktop to Dropbox to sync with iOs Scrivener. In this project I have several pdf imported in Research with Import Research Files as Aliases. How do I locate these files on my hard disk? It seems that there is no indication or way in Scrivener to see the path of aliases....

Fonts in Scrivener iOs

I discovered that you can install fonts in Scrivener iOs from the desktop. Here are some instructions (sorry for my English) for Mac: 1. find the .otf font that you want to install in your system. 2. select and copy the file; if this is a family of fonts select and copy all the files 3. paste these ...

Re: Bibliography

Might be wrong myself, but that's certainly not the impression I have. From what I gather, BoT is still being actively developed? Haven't tried the integration yet - but will pop something up as soon as I get round to it - hopefully this weekend! You are right: BoT was lastly updated January of thi...

Re: Import web pages?

I am afraid but the iOs Scrivener does not support files that are links to web pages. If you have one in a desktop mac project in the iOs version is labeled as not supported. Maybe in the future…

Have a great day.

Re: Bibliography

I am a user of Bookends, and I have the light version for iPad. Before I buy the full version I would be certain that it works with Scrivener. With the light version there is no way to get a reference formatted and paste it into Scrivener, unless I am wrong. Moreover, Bookends on Tap has not been up...

Bibliography

Now that we have wonderful Scrivener iOS could you please suggest an app for bibliography that:
1. Possibly syncs with a desktop software (for example Bookends)
2. Copy formatted citation and paste in Scrivener.
Thanks

Re: Syncing between Mac and Scrivener for iOS BEFORE having Scrivener for iOS

This is interesting. For Symlinks do you mean Aliases? If this is the case, we could keep our original (real) files on our hard drive and instead put an alias in the Dropbox folder. Is this right? I doubt… We will see!

Thanks

PS and thanks Keith for the previous clarifying answer!

Re: Syncing between Mac and Scrivener for iOS BEFORE having Scrivener for iOS

Some questions. I have a project inside a folder that contains the .scriv project and some folders with inside "Research Files as Aliases". These folders contain pdfs or that are about 30 mega each and few jpeg. Questions: 1. Would it be better to have real files not as aliases inside the ...

Title footnote

I am editing a collection of poetry. I decided to have each poem on a single file. Each file has a title which is the title of the poem. The text of the poem does not include the title. Now, few times I need to have a footnote attached to the title of the poem, but I suppose there is no way to attac...

Re: RTF compile: Justified footnotes

Thanks for your answer. You are right: the file is compiled correctly with footnotes justified. In fact if I open my file with Word the footnotes are justified, BUT if I open the rtf file with Nisus they are not. So it is a little bug in Nisus, easily adjustable in changing the style of the footnote...
