Re: "Konnte URL-Datei nicht importieren" / "Cant' import URL" :-/

Der PDF-Import von Scrivener für Windows ist nicht wirklich ausgereift (ich hoffe da auf die angekündigte Version 3.0). In deinem Beispiel funktioniert der Import als PDF nur über die MS-Office-Option, und dann ist die Seite nicht wirklich schön gerendert. Willst du eine brauchbare PDF, solltest du ...

Re: Find a word in Scrivener

Did you try to enter the word in the search field right in the toolbar?

Arbitrary types of documents in the draft-folder

Here's one final suggestion. A mere trifle ;) At least two programs for writers, that I know of, have mind maps integrated recently, which allow to add graphical notes and sketches to given files. This is feature has been requested by users often. In Scrivener there will be no such close integration...

Tabbed middle pane

here is another idea, which proved to be a quite useful feature of another writers program: a tabbed editor pane quite similar to a tabbed browser. In Scrivener this would apply to the middle pane of the scrivener window. Each tab would contain a complete editor pane for text, corkboard or outline i...

Thesaurus and proofreading

Scrivener would really benefit from a more powerful integrated proofreading and thesaurus module. It has proved handy to provide possible spellings and available synonyms in the context menus of selected words Regarding German language support the "Duden-Korrektor" is the best available pr...

Reimport of a complete manuscript

I do not know, whether this feature already has been requested (my search in “wish list” did not give any result) although it is actually a very obvious idea: If I give a manuscript to a test reader or an editor, I will have to do so in a common available format such as RTF. So I compile the manuscr...

* Updated the German interface translation.

Do you possibly have a list, which items changed in the translation?

(May be, I have to update some screenshots in my book)

Re: Corkboard Cluster

Why would anyone want such a thing? For me it is much more intuitive to collect ideas first (on virtual index cards) and then connect them to obtain a structure. This is not possible with Scrivener, because essentially only one level of index cards can be displayed on the corkboard at a given moment...

Duden Korrector (German spelling checker)

I suspect this wish will remain a wish. The best available German spelling checker is the "Duden Korrector", which is bundled with "Papyrus Author" and "TextMaker". It does examine not only the words itself, but also whether the endings in declension and conjugation mat...

Re: Corkboard Cluster

How would you rearrange the hierarchy from this view? I am assuming that as part of the ability to move items around wherever you want (freeform), the arrows connecting the items must move with them, so that A always connects to B whether the two are right next to each other or I drag B to the othe...

And Now For Something Completely Different: Synchronisation!

Synchronization is a cool feature, but the many small text files in the synchronization folder are not particularly handy, if someone else is asked to review the text and if I want to transfer back annotations and changes into the Scrivener-project. My editor for example wants one RTF file per chapt...

Re: Corkboard Cluster

But Scapple is completely unstructured. You can not jot down a complex project in scapple and than make an Scrivener-outline out of it. I imagine to have something like Scriveners index cards for planning, but to connect, expand and collapse them like in Scapple. The great thing with index cards is,...
