Re: Trouble with Compile

You could try compiling to .rtf or .doc and printing it from another program, I guess, which would atleast let you know if the "won't print from a later page" thing is Scrivener or the printer.

But as almansur said... adding more paper to the printer is generally a good work around. ;)

Interesting that they've gotten less universal with time.

Re: *short* wish list from a poet's perspective

Not a poet, so mostly just spitballing here, but would combining highlighting and underline work? Say, highlight every other foot and underline the stressed syllable? or bold/italic/font colour on the stressed syllable?

Re: Notes on index cards and template sheets disappeared

It might just be that your index file has gotten corrupted... some people have been reporting that searching for some of the missing text can make it reappear (since this makes Scrivener "look again" and refind the missing files). If that doesn't help, try navigating to the .scriv folder i...

Re: Cursor gets stucked in a window

Scrivener currently doesn't have wacom tablet support. They work for some people, but it really just seems to be pretty hit and miss. The work around is to switch to a mouse when using Scrivener, I'm afraid.

Re: Putting Excel 2007 diagrams into Scrivener

I'm not sure if it will work for importing the Excel diagrams themselves, but if you import them as jpegs and drop them into the text you can then right click on them and select Edit Image from the menu to set the image size. You'll have to set up any text wrapping after compiling, since as far as I...

Hey there,

Just spotted one small thing in the Sci-Fi translation - in the Mission menu the "Project Targets" equivalent is listed as "Mission Objections" rather than Objectives. ;)

Still, having a lot of fun with it :)

Re: Scrolling index cards

No scrolling, atm, but if you click on the little symbol that looks like 4 index cards (bottom right of the editor), you can adjust the size of your index cards until all the data is visible.

Re: No moderator on Tech Support Forum?

Posts go through without needing approval here. We're big boys and girls; moderators don't pick and choose what goes through. The moderators for each forum are listed at the top of the page, so if you think something needs to be bought to their attention... well. And... look. In all honesty? Your ow...

Re: Page Size in Scrivener?

I don't think save to pdf comes built in with Word? At least, I was fairly sure my Acrobat conversion tab got added after I installed Acrobat Pro... could be wrong, since they were both installed within pretty quick order of getting my laptop.

Full Screen Mode - Shortcut Keys don't work

When writing in Full Screen mode, the shortcut keys for rtf seem to be non-functional - ctrl+b and ctrl+u have no effect at all on the text and ctrl + i, rather randomly inserts an indent instead of italicising text. Those keys work fine in the normal editor, and any rtf formatting done in the edito...

Re: Footnotes

This forum is for leaving, not getting, feedback, from what I understand... And, generally the developers don't comment on when any particular feature will make it in, since coding can hit unexpected snags - and, besides, pretty much everyone has a different idea of which feature should be added nex...

Re: Puzzled (again) by page break after chapter

If you click on the first document in a folder and pull up the inspector, is "page break before" ticked? Because that would overwrite the basic compile setting.

Re: How do you open a read only file

The hero's journey opened fine for me in Scrivener... try opening it from within Scrivener if it can't be opened from Explorer. But, in general, you can right-click on a file, go to properties, and uncheck the "read only" box to get rid of it, provided the file doesn't have further protect...
