Re: Returning to cursor position not working

Any chance we could get a check box or option to choose between using compile settings and just "everything in the manuscript folder regardless"? It seems like it might clear up some of the confusion people seem to have with the feature, and for people like me, who want to have a total wor...

Re: Backdrop/Layout

The current WIndows beta has background in full screen, but the last stable release doesn't... I don't think either have the two page option - at least, they don't that I've noticed, but I haven't gone looking. I'm sure someone will jump in to correct me if I'm wrong, though. :)

[1.5.0.5] Exe vanished?

Ok, so this is probably going to make me sound incompetent, but I swear I can find my way around Windows handily enough. I restarted my laptop earlier today. Neither normal Scrivener nor the Beta were open at the time and the restart seemed to go normally - no booting to the normal/safe mode selecti...

Re: Scrivener on Steam

Out of curiosity, are there any particular reasons you want Scriv on Steam? It already has pretty much automatic updates, and I can't think of all that many other advantages. I'd say cloud services, but given they only give you 100MB, it doesn't seem like it'd be all that great for the Scriv files. ...

Re: SCRIVENER FOR WINDOWS 1.5.0.5 BETA RELEASED

If you'd poked around the forum a little more, you also would have found it stated several times that all the features currently in Mac would be incorporated in Windows 2.0 - which I believe is forecast for sometime next year. But I definitely wouldn't say we Windows users aren't being taken serious...

Re: Import PDF, Compile mobi

I don't think you can really say that Scrivener is being misleading about it's features or "hiding" complications - they have a 30-day, free, fully-featured trial that you can download, try and see exactly what you're getting before you consider whether you want to put down money or not. P...

Re: Can't print from new Beta

I would suggest re-downloading and installing the NON-beta version to it's own folder, so you are running both on your machine, as was suggested in the beta download post. Then, when you find a bug like this that prevents you doing what you need to do, you can open it in the non-beta to do what you ...

Cancel saves changes in compile/Compile crash[LOGGED]

I started to compile my story, realised I wanted to do it a different way, hit cancel... and when I went back, my changes were still there. Followed the following steps: -opened compile -ticked "page break before" on several documents -hit cancel -opened compile - ticked boxes still ticked...

Re: Undock panels and drag as floating windows

I'd love this. I often have several programs open and it'd be great to be able to undock the panels and drag them around to make the most use of my available screen space - which quite often is not rectangular so much as L shaped. I can do this with things like the Project Targets window - I'd love ...

Re: Editor settings don't apply to Corkboard?

I don't think they're supposed to apply to synopsis text, since synopsis text is plain text rather than rich text? If you look at the editor bar, all the options are greyed out. Odd that you're getting indents, though... I'm not getting those.

Re: Windows 1.2.5 Released 14th Aug 2012

They don't usually provide solid guarantees of when any particular feature will be available, but word on the forums recently has been that non-inline footnotes are coming "soon ;)". Whether that's the next release or the one after... or even the one after that doesn't seem to have been co...

Re: Crtl+Z Bug Disappearing Text

Bardie - your issue actually seems more like another issue that's been popping up recently than the one in the original post. Try searching for some of the missing text in the search bar in the top right corner. Sometimes Scrivener's index file gets muddled and telling it to look again sometimes sor...

Re: Words not going across the page

Did you c+p text in from Word? I found I had this problem on imported documents at first. (If not, this should work anyway, I just can't finger the cause.) Try going to Tools > Options >Editor and clicking on the line-spacing dropdown menu (will have something like 1x, 2x or something visible) and c...
