Re: Compile Hanging when exporting to mobi

How strange. Sounds as though there is something in one of the files that is in some way corrupt. If you drag just one file to a new project and export, will one file work? If it does, you could add files and try compiles after each addition—hopefully identifying if one of the files really does have...

Re: Time to get a new Mac?

I have a friend who is a Mac hardware specialist, and he says the new iMacs are a bad buy. No optical drive, costly Fusion drive option, and general flimsiness are his reasons. A better buy would be a Mac mini coupled with a Dell monitor. Or look for a refurbished earlier model iMac, if you can fin...

Re: Claustrophobic titles in Binder

Hi Dawn

I'm on a Mac and have never had a problem with the size of the text in the binder. Any chance of uploading a screengrab to show what it is you're seeing? (Maybe I am looking in the wrong place!)

Best wishes

Re: Where to publish in parts

Master Mac, Sound advice, but young Master Stephen has to finish his novel first. His proposed three book, free or otherwise, is muted as a device to spur him on toward 'Authordom'. Once finished, he could become so possessive of it, he wouldn't want anybody to see it! Who knows? :? Fluff D...

Re: Where to publish in parts

Hi I have a 100k word book that has been almost finished for about 3 years.... It is my only work at present. To get my lazy, procrastinating ass in gear I want to publish it in parts - al la Dickens - to force myself to get it done. I have been looking for advice on this and can find little. I was...

Re: Change the word "Contents"

Hi everybody, I am writing a book in German and have no use for the word "Contents" as title for the table of contents. How can I change this to something else (e. g. "Inhalt" in German)? Any help appreciated. Hello Hedobald *Perhaps* this is what you want…this is from the Mac v...

Re: Is it possible to change the language of the software ?

Hi, As a PC user of Scrivener 1 I'm now on MAC OS on Scrivener 2. I know on the PC version it's possible to change the language of the software, but I can't find it on Scrivener 2. Thanks, If you mean writing in another language you'll find that it is controlled by the system settings. This post mi...

Re: Is it possible to change the language of the software ?

I thought from the info on this page viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3813&start=30 that Scrivener is only available in English.

Re: First line indentation

Hi Kasper

On the Mac version I use, I set (remove) the first line indent by showing the ruler and making the adjustments I want.

Same on Windows? Just select all the text and then adjust the ruler settings as you want.
