Re: Scrivener Temporarily Withdrawn from Sale on the App Store

[quote] Yes, as ChiaLynn says, as long as you've run the Mac App Store version on your machine at least once, the version from our website will recognise you. If the worst did ever come to the worst, we would ensure our MAS users had a way of transferring to the version on our site. And if you reall...

Default Font Alignment in Scapple

Just testing Scapple. Wonderful example of clear-thinking, smartly-written, user-friendly software. Would like to set the default font alignment to "centre" for each new note, but can't see how to do it. (Doh!) I can see how to set the default font and font colour, but not the font alignme...

Re: Deactivate in 2.4

Thanks. I'll leave it well alone.

Sounds as though the iPad version is nearing the finish line. Going to be a day to break out the champagne when all the sales hit the App store.

Re: Deactivate in 2.4

Cool. No worries. I bought via MAS but downloaded 2.4 today from your server and am now using that (sweet update).

Now longing to throw cash at you for the iPad version of Scrivener.

Thanks

Re: Deactivate in 2.4

Select "Registration..." from the "Scrivener" menu - the "Deactivate" button can be found in the registration panel that this opens. All the best, Keith Many thanks, Keith Had looked at that before, but had refrained from doing anything as the syntax said "unregis...

Deactivate in 2.4

Hi In Mac version 2.4's release notes it says: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivChangeList.php In the regular version of Scrivener, “Deactivate” will now remove the Mac App Store receipt placed in Application Support by the App Store version if that is what is being used as the basis for Scriv...

Re: Disappointed--want money back

The problem is most likely down to user error (people often blame their hardware or software when, in fact, they are the ones who are making mistakes) or an error in the user's OS that is beyond the control of Scrivener. What has been vaguely described in the user's complaint clearly isn't typical o...

Re: ISBN numbers for eBooks

I agree with you, Sarge.

Publishing digitally is easy in the first place, but—unfortunately—also easy to pirate.

Authors and all creatives need to earn a crust.

FYI, Sarge

On this page

http://www.epubbud.com/search.php?q=Abbi%20Glines

…they have a lot of books by Abbi Glines.

They are NOT authorised copies.

Re: ISBN numbers for eBooks

Interesting info, Bilko. Guess if epubbud doesn't have the right to sell/giveaway your book—even though they are the nominated publisher as such—then you should be okay. Just not heard of epubbud until today. Their Twitter account describes them as being like YouTube for books … free content. https:...

Re: ISBN numbers for eBooks

In all the blurb with epubbud http://www.epubbud.com/help.php#isbn they mentioned that they would be listed as the publisher if I purchased an ISBN number through them but said this doesn't affect our rights as creators in any way. It says: " Note: all the ISBNs we distribute have "ePub B...

Re: ISBN numbers for eBooks

Just to follow up I've received email confirmation that anybody can use those ISBN numbers so it's a significant saving compared to to the £126 for a minimum batch of ten I saw quoted in the UK. They are issued for free in several countries though, so as often appears to be the case we tend to pay ...
