Re: Longer list of recent projects

Agree. Making it configurable would definitely be an improvement.

Re: Version Control and Doc Compare

Thanks for sharing! If you're unaware, Scrivener does have a "snapshot" feature (Documents > Snapshot) to save versions of individual documents, which you can then view side-by-side with the current version, and you can roll back to any snapshot (older or newer--I guess that's rolling for...

Re: Scapple for Mac OS X Now Available!

Haven't got a Mac, so am looking forward to this one arriving on Windows. As a point of interest, anyone downloading this might also like to take a look at the book "Writing the Natural Way" by Gabriele Lusser Rico. It is on Amazon.com here: http://www.amazon.com/Writing-Natural-Gabriele-L...

Re: iOS Update

Thanks for the update. Good luck with the project Tammy.

My iPad Mini feels empty without Scrivener!

Best to Jen. Life sometimes has a habit of getting in the way. Hopefully things will start to get better, whatever the problem is.

Re: Where has the iOS Wish List Gone?

I wouldn't stress it. Either will have enough space. Personally I would go with the ipad mini. The iphone is a bit small, the ipad is a bit big, and the mini is just right. Might be best holding off till june though, as I think that is when Apple normally announces new models. In any case, I wouldn'...

Re: Where has the iOS Wish List Gone?

Ok. Interesting. I am looking forward to it whenever it appears anyway. I am liking the iPad Mini far more than I would have guessed and the app thing is addictive. Whenever Scrivener puts in an appearance in the app store, if it works anything like the main program then I am sure it will be a hit. ...

Re: Where has the iOS Wish List Gone?

I’m not sure what you mean by “Open With”. The only meaning I’m familiar with is when you want to manually open a file in something other than its default program. What I meant is that FileBrowser seems to have cracked the connecting between the main PC and the iPad part. I can now open any file th...

Re: Where has the iOS Wish List Gone?

I have just got an iPad Mini. Very nice device. I always assumed Microsoft Office MUST be an app after all this time. So was a little surprised to see its not. Looking forward to Scrivener on the Ipad Mini. May be "forced" to get one of those bluetooth keyboards when it happens :D I hope t...

Re: Tracking my productivity over time in Scrivener

That is true up to a point Andreas. Computers are just a tool. Jeffrey Archer wrote his prison memoirs with just a pad and paper in prison. And of course pre computers everyone did. I tend to think though that if Trollope had access to Scrivener he would have preferred the software to do the recordi...

Re: Tracking my productivity over time in Scrivener

I would really like this as well. Every day I reset the Project > Project Targets back to zero so I can see what my word count is for the day. And I then record it in excel every day, before resetting it the next day. I would much prefer it if this was automatically tracked every day in Scrivener wi...

Re: Format Painter

I think so.

Those options don't exist in the Windows version from what I can see.

This is an image of the windows version.

Re: Format Painter

Thanks for the input. Personally I think that keyboard shortcuts are a little "Windows 3.1 - Command Line". They work and definitely speed things up, but they are NOT intuitive, they have to be learned. It seems to me that if you can have a button in Scrivener for: Inline annotation Footno...

Re: Format Painter

I think it needs a button and to act in the same way that it does in Word i.e Highlighting it and then clicking Format Painter copies not only fonts, styles and colours, but also such things as spacing etc Clicking one button seems like a much more elegant way of doing this then trying to remember k...

Format Painter

One thing I would really like to see in Scrivener, and which I think would help to simplify formatting is a button in the formatting area that does the same thing as the "Format Painter" button in Microsoft Word. In other words, say I have set the text to be size 10, the font arial, and se...

Duplication: Eratic, Flakey and Buggy

I am finding this latest version of Scrivener for PC very flakey and buggy when it comes to duplicating folders. Even when I right click on a folder and click on "Duplicate", the results are not predictable. The folder "appears" to have duplicated ok. But closer examination of th...
