Re: Considering Mac to iPad switch — features?

I'm going to be ordering one as well this week (the big 12.9 inch one), after considerable saving and thought about it. I don't think it has Scrivening mode on the iPad (correct me if I'm wrong). Which does strike me as a major ommission, especially on the new ones, where they are as powerful as a M...

Re: Writing a Novel on 12.9 Ipad Pro?

Thanks. Interesting thoughts. I'll do some more exploring. I do wonder if use of the apple pencil and handwriting recognition isn't something that ought to be included in the IOS version of Scrivener. A lot of writers prefer to write by hand, but then have to turn it into a word type file to send it...

Writing a Novel on 12.9 Ipad Pro?

I'm considering getting one of these to continue writing my novel. At the moment my 'process' is to handwrite into notebooks on the way to work. I tried using a laptop. But somehow it changed my writing style, and I didn't enjoy it as much. Handwriting in notebooks has been much more effective. I've...

Re: Scrivenings mode

Hi Keith, Thinking about getting the next Ipad Pro which is due to launch on Sept 12 2018, and using it as my 'main' device for using Scrivener (I have the Windows version, so not sure what I will 'miss' from that feature wise?) That is going to come with IOS 12. I wondered if that was likely to bri...

Re: Scrivener on the iPad?

I bought myself one of those Logitech Ipad Mini keyboards in preparation for the launch of the Scrivener IOS app at some time this year. Have to say though, that using it (or trying to) has totally chilled me out about the launch of this. It was horrible to use. Definitely couldn't imagine doing it ...

Re: Anyone Running a Hackintosh??

I have to say that in several key ways the Mac version is considerably better than the Windows version. The two biggies for me are: 1/ .mobi export options - Miles better on the Mac, which is kinda a big deal if you are regularly producing Kindle books. 2/ Snaphot Compare - The ability to compare an...

Re: Scrivener Version 3 in the pipeline?

FYI - To keep with the now established "tradition" of 1381 days between full releases, you would need to release Scrivener 3.0 on.... Wednesday 13th August 2014 Source: http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadded.html?d1=01&m1=11&y1=2010&type=add&ay=0&am=0&aw=0&ad...

Re: Multiple Windows, Dual Monitors

Another big tick from me for this. It would be handy to have the plot outline on one monitor, so that it is in view all of the time, and have a nice clear working space to bang away at the draft itself on the other. I appreciate that you can split the screen, but that does make the actual writing ar...

Re: 1.7.0.3 - Number of recent projects increased ?

I agree. That would be nice. Finding a project is sometimes half the battle. It would be nice if this could be specified. Photoshop for example I believe allows 30 in the recent list.

Readme text window problems

1/ Readme file after install is not re-sizeable and the text doesn't fit into the box. So, in order to read it you have to constantly use the bar at the bottom.

I would say that is a useability bug. Text should either fit in the box, or the box should be re-sizeable, or preferably both.

Re: How to Delete the Table of Contents?

It all seems rather complicated. Is there a step-by-step guide anywhere that you are aware of? I ended up downloading Kindle Comic Creator and creating each page in Photoshop rather than Scrivener and having each page as a static, fixed page. It strikes me as a shame that scrivener is lacking in the...

How to Delete the Table of Contents?

Ok. So I like Scrivener. But just lately I am getting very frustrated with it. I am trying to create a childrens picture book for kindle. I am trying to keep the front matter down to an absolute bare minimum. A table of contents makes absolutely no sense for a 30 page picture book, but I cannot find...

Re: Recipe for Fonts and Layout

I guess my main wish would be to have the option (!) to set Edit/Paste and Match Style as the default behavior. I think that is a good idea. It seems just as logical to have the option to make this happen as the default, rather then having to right click. Most of the time I want the match style opt...
