If you're on Win 10, and running Defender, Norton, and Malwarebytes, I'm surprised you haven't had more problems. You might want to think about losing Norton, unless there's some specific reason you need it on Win 10. Here's a link on how to run Malwarebytes with another antivirus: https://www.howto...
Probably not relevant to say, but I run Malwarebytes-paid on three laptops, and I've had no problems with the latest RC-9 release getting flagged. On the other hand, I've never run Norton, so there's that.
I'm a Parts/Chapters writer. I break the story into four parts based on the three act structure. Act 1 is Part 1. Act 2 is broken at the mid-point, ending Part 2, after which Part 3 begins. Act 3 is my Part 4. I find it much easier to manage this way, no matter the length of the product. Each Parts ...
slightly over two years ago that I threw caution to the winds and began using Scrivener 3 Beta 7? I can't believe that I've been using the new software since then, with nary a glitch that I couldn't find a solution to in the forums, or, more likely, solved with an update. Two laptops, same network. #1 auto-updated normally. #2 went into a slow download speed for some reason. I cancelled, and went to Help / Check for updates and the speed of the download was comparable to laptop #1. Don't know why it happened. Don't care. Cancel and Help / Check for updates solved the...
I occasionally have to re-enter the validation information as well. I call up the saved email with the serial number and copy-paste what's requested. Scrivener v1.9x runs just fine until the next verification check, when I do the same thing all over again and Scrivener v1.9x runs just fine until the...
The Big 5 (or the Pig 5, if one prefers) inflate their ebook prices in order to prop up the sale of their seemingly more profitable paper products. It's backfiring on them, however, and has done so for some time. That's their prerogative, of course. Now they're locked into their high ebook pricing s...
