Re: Ability to search for text or at least keywords across all projects

Thanks, brookter. As I suspected. With regard to "nesting", perhaps a bad choice of word. I meant only moving the completed multiple Novel (Novel 1, Novel 3, etc.) folders over to the Manuscript folder temporarily while doing the search. They would be moved back once I looked at the search...

Re: Ability to search for text or at least keywords across all projects

If several projects in a series were nested in the binder, would the search function go through each and every one and come up with the desired results? What I meant was this: 1) Half a dozen completed novels in the same Scrivener Binder listing as individual folders. 2) The Working Novel is under ...

Toolbar customization after deleting old/installing new beta

Is there a setting I'm missing? Every time I delete a beta and install a new one, my toolbar customization is lost. I've written out by hand a very nice and satisfying list of how I want the toolbars to appear, but why should I have to rearrange everything time after time after time following a new ...

Re: Ability to search for text or at least keywords across all projects

I have a follow-up question:

If several projects in a series were nested in the binder, would the search function go through each and every one and come up with the desired results?

Re: question about buying scrivener in advanced before the new version comes out

* A version of Scrivener for Windows 3? Excellent! When will it be coming out? Is there a beta? When will the beta expire? Will a new beta be available before the old beta expires? I didn't realize the L&L team was so retro trendy. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Windows_3.0 * Sorry, but sometimes I...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

Mr. Cranky would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all and sundry for the negativity of his posts referencing the negativism with regard to the release of Scrivener 3 for Windows. Mr. Smiley, on the other hand, would like to commend the company and development team for its ongoing strugg...

Re: Stuck with "pieces"

If I might take a moment to add... I recommend Brody's Save The Cat! Writes a Novel in the softcover print edition. I'm pretty certain you will be thumbing through it frantically, and it's much better to have a hard copy in order to do that. Bookmarks? Post-it notes work for me. Super Structure come...

Re: Stuck with "pieces"

Rules? There are no rules. You might want to consider learning novel structure. If you don't know structure, it will take forever to write a novel. Now, some will tell you that structure is too "formulaic" for them and it would never work. Sadly, if one doesn't know structure to begin with...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

Given your near constant haranguing, please tell us why you anticipate a Scrivener 3 release by August 30? Do you know something the rest of us don't? Are you party to an as yet unseen post announcing such release by that date? It must please you greatly if you are. Do you lie awake at nights, fanta...

Re: Beta not reverse-compatible with Scrivener 1 for windows?

I've been using the Win Scrivener Beta since Beta 7. I'm now using Beta 18, and it's relatively problem-free. I've completed quite a number of shorts and much longer works in the Beta. While I don't want to talk you into doing something you obviously don't want to do, why not keep using the current ...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

Is this still planned for a release before July, as it is still stated in your product page? Judging by your name choice, ALIEN714, I'd say it's obvious that you've been away for more than a while. Don't despair, however. There are myriad posts on these forums concerning the much-anticipated releas...

Re: Scrivener 3 for Windows launch date?

My wanking will get you to a paid copy of Win V3 just as fast as your comment concerning a release date: >> I'm looking forward to v3, if they get it out the door this time.<< Glad to see you have so much confidence in the developers providing a viable product. Obvs if it doesn't arrive, you'll move...

Re: Scrivener 3 for Windows launch date?

Vaporware? What are ya using to write now, gehoeflinger, a quill pen, a bottle of ink, and a pen knife to keep the quill as sharp as your wit? Having a little trouble getting your own work done, are ya, with your single post? I recently started another novel with Beta 17, which I have now loaded int...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

Methinks all the wailing, gnashing of teeth and pearl clutching over Windows V3 is because certain users have nothing better to do. I've also noticed that many, if not most, have only a couple of posts, which leads me to believe that perhaps some among the competition have started the ball rolling b...
