Re: [BB] Compile to Word turns em dashes into double hyphens

Yes, I am experiencing this in .docx compiles with Beta 10. I've not tried it with a .doc compile.

Re: First release of Scrivener for Windows - Eight years ago today

I separated 40 bucks from my stash back in December, 2011 and bought v1. Best 40 I've spent in a long time. It took a while to get where I am today, but without Scrivener, I'd still be out in the back yard digging holes to bury my writing software frustrations. Thanks to all for great writing softwa...

Re: managing drafts

what if I delete a scene in the second draft? I lose all record of that scene, and if I want it back in a later draft, I'm sunk. What I do is create as many folders as I need outside of my Manuscript folder. One is name Deleted Scenes. Another is named Unused Scenes. I could create a folder for Sec...

[NB] Beta template location

(Feel free to move this if its necessary) I've searched this forum for the location of Win v3 project templates. It doesn't appear to be in the appdata folder. Any idea where I can find them so I can save backups, copy to a template backup directory, etc.? Whoops. I spoke too soon. I located them un...

Re: [LH3135] Duplicating Chapters

2: Make a new project. Drag-drop your chapter with its scene to that. Drag-drop that new chapter/scene to your original, in Manuscript (or whatever you might have changed that to). Scriv should place it below your last entry in Manuscript; then you can move it wherever. That's what I ended up doing.

Re: [LH3135] Duplicating Chapters

It seems to me that this is something new, as I've duplicated chapters in the previous beta. Is there currently a workaround? How do I now add chapters?

Re: Where can I Buy jovani prom dress?

Where can I Buy jovani prom dress? Thank you so much for your interest in our prom dresses. I am so sorry, but we are completely out of stock with prom dresses at this time due to the popularity of the item at this time of year. Perhaps we could interest you in one slightly used cummerbund? If so, ...

Re: Name Generator for Other Uses

I too use Brainstromer on my Android phone and tablet. I've added an additional three customized wheels that I've ported over to both devices. I was sitting around one day, rolling the dice, and came up with "apartment, crime of passion, waiter, revenge" on a second or third roll. I immedi...

Re: Anyone else using the BETA for their work?

I've been using the Win Beta 2906 since it came out for a novel and a whole whack of short stories. I did the same for a v1 beta (don't remember which one, now). What I did both times was to take a look at the number of bugs reported in this forum. When the reported new bugs were reduced to what app...

Re: New Scrivener 3 Prices/Discounts of Old and New Users -- Seriously???

I quite happily paid whatever it was (I don't remember, and I'm not going diving for the receipt) for Scrivener Win v1.x years ago. Free updates came along every so often. I'm using Win10 v1.9.8 at present. I say quite happily, because that investment in my writing has paid off time after time. I no...

I have to throw in with Stacey on this. A little something to delineate the icons would be nice.

Re: Send to Kindle - Amazon App

Thanks for this. I've already installed it on both laptops and sent a .doc file to my tablet. It worked, fast and trouble-free. It's great for another editing method, checking final products before uploading, whatever you want to do.

Re: Internet Explorer Browser Customer Care | +1-800-712-5705 |

I don't think much of said Customer Care. I have called the 800-number multiple times over the past several days and inquired about accessing my cup holder. No one could help me. Given the lack of Customer Care, I certainly wouldn't upgrade.

Result: unable to resolve.
