Re: I'm confused about this update pricing

I am confused you are even asking. This is not an update to the 1xx version... but a full new version. It is like moving from Leopard to Snow Leopard... or from pages 07, to pages 08 and so on. It is a full step up in versioning. Hey, to me, I will play with the win version since I happen to have a ...

Re: Praises

Scrivener 2 is terrific. Praise to Don Keith for his craft and the fine tool he has produced, praise to all his sagacious consiglieri. I was a happy user of v1.x, have quietly fevered with many others for v.2 and now enjoy using v2.0x since the word go with great delight. Heel-clicks and the regula...

promising. As I keep pressing it, I will let you know. I write science fiction, so I was extremely happy to see that I could create a time line in 3500... or thereabouts. Thanks.

Re: IPOD Touch APP

Well for the moment, while waiting, I have finally gotten evernote to work. I guess that is the best I can hope for right now. At least it is free.

Using Liquid Story and Scriv

Yes the horror, but I need to be able to do this since LSB does not play well with either WINE or cross over. So thanks to the developers found a way to exchange material between the two programs. This is a good thing. Now if I only could get the *)^&()) IPOD... well when Copy \ Paste comes I wi...

Re: Scrivener for Games Design

Hi, It’s great to hear about Scrivener being used for different purposes - especially for another of my great loves, video games... It should definitely be possible to set up a template for a game design document (it should be even easier in 2.0 which allows much more flexibility in controlling the...

Re:

Yes, sorry, but Maria is right. Word's file format is proprietary (i.e. undocumented by MS), so there is no way for Scrivener (or rather, me) to know how to do this. All the best, Keith Ok can scriv import RTF? If it can save the damn thing in RTF. By the way, most publishers these days are now loo...

Re: Cheap, Writing-only Laptops

Recently I gave away an early windows CE device... that still worked I used that sucker to write my first sales. You were lucky indeed. And let me tell you... I LOVED those devices, but right now the IPOD is killing Windows CE and all has to do with the COOL factor, and the difficulty of actually ge...

Re: Inexpensive Laptop Substitute

Well I DID get an Asus... yes it IS a laptop... yes it does have the limitations of a laptop, and yes it RUNS XP Pro... (ran better on Linux but wine will not play well with liquid story binder, my windows poison of choice for plotting et al and would not run Scriv... and yes shhh I know some folks ...

Re: Scrivener for Games Design

Just wondering if anyone else is abusing Scrivener for the making of game design docs? I find it ideal, games design are often lots of little chunks of information in a hierarchal format. I liberally throw folders around and give each chunk a sub-category. Easy to add pictures into the correct plac...

Re: I write RPG books

Well, I write RPG *adventures* in Scrivener and it's almost perfect... Now I'm looking for a mapping solution that will maintain distances and stuff for me. It would be really, really cool (hint hint) if Scrivener had a kind of "image map" functionality where I could place an image in a n...

Re: Integrating Moleskine & other paper-based notes

Oh and there is another benefit...

See hand was starting to hurt... this ahem forced vacation from the keyboard actually has stopped that.

I guess that will also avoid carpal tunnal.... yep classic signs and symptoms of it

Between the vacation (needed) and the fact that I'm not typing that much...

I have ordered the casing you suggested as a result.

And as a matter of your personal security, wipe that drive... in fact, do it about seven times.
