Could not open a project

Hopefully it's nothing, but the project, started on the Mac did not open this morning on the netie. They reside on dropbox, and yesterday I had no issue. It is also synced to simple note, most of the time.

Will try again. But it simple did not want to open this morning.

Re: Major problem with saving

Just installed the fix. I opened it in normal mode. I inserted some text. Closed it, reopened it... it saved.

Re: Major problem with saving

Windows base, 32 bit... and my files live in Dropbox where they can happily talk to the Mac. Nope, did not save... what I did this morning. Thankfully 700 words, so not that much of a biggie. Out of curiosity, does your work save properly if you run Scrivener as Administrator? Yes, just tested it. ...

Re: Major problem with saving

I was able to duplicate this without fail on my machine. Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. BUT, it only occurs under certain conditions. Normally, I store all my Scrivener Projects in either my Documents folder or on a seperate drive on my computer. On all of these files, I am able to edit and add content...

Re: Major problem with saving

WOW I thought it was me.

Thankfully I did not do that much writing, but yes it went poof.

Tomorrow I guess I will compile and save to RTF before I end that session... or just send myself an email of the chapter... and save on the mac.
:D

Yes latest build...

Re: Opening files between Mac and Windows

Will let you know how that works. The Macbook, albeit a tad aged, stays home mostly. I tend to carry the nettie or the ipad... right now both... (pesky notes)... so I still have the rtf files anyway as a back up. :D And I really like the scriv for this writing thing... have all notes in the same da...

Footnotes

So I created an academic project on the Mac Version and imported quite a bit of text into it... footnotes galore. They show up fine on the Mac... but when I opened the project on the Win version on the nettie... poof. Good news, if for whatever reason it did this, and erased them... I got the origin...

Footnotes, endnotes, and all that jazz

So I have been writing my history of labor in word... it handles footnotes well, thank you. So I wanted to take scriv (both mac and win) for a spin on this. So I imported the four files. No, the intro has no footnotes. but the other three chapters do. They were not sent to works cited, I will have t...

Windows, Mac and dropbox

Well decided to give this a whirl, with the latest build. It works like a charm. I can take the lappie, save the full working file on the dropbox file and then open on the mac. In fact, this is just perfect for working on this. (Now if we could get scriv for IPAD... I know why not by the way) :D On ...

Re: Windows 1.6 Beta side bar on editing window

Sorry, but I have no idea what you raising here. Can you please be more specific? When you are working in the text section not in full screen mode, but what windows refers as full screen, the side bar does not appear after you fill the text area. When you are in the reduced screen setting it does. ...
