Ok, I think I finally tamed Notebooks

To work with scrivener. Just taken many attempts. I also read Scriv for IPad will not run on my IPad I...well, it's getting close to replacing...it is showing it's age. Now the question is mini or regular? That is truly the question. So Scriv, when it finally releases, will not be an issue. But afte...

Now THREE Operating systems

Well, for work reasons I finally had to surrender and get a smart phone. No, did not get an IPHONE, sorry chaps, way out of my budget. I got a mid level Android device. So here came the fun... making sure my scriv files can be worked on an IPAD (almost default when out and about, at times I just car...

Multiple ways actually

Novels and short fiction, self explanatory Academic writing, still working on a history of labor Working journalist... Which means breaking news, feature article and investigative journalism. All these files are in their own home, using elements for the iPad. Simplenote became unmanageable with so m...

Downloading the update

Keith, I got no idea why... but every time I try to update to the next, it fails. So here is my question, should I download the version from your shop and install over it? You know as if it was a new one? And I guess to do that I will need registration number and all that (easy to obtain before doin...

I will admit it, the way simplenote works

drive me up the wall, when I have SEVERAL projects. Solution, (until scriv for Ipad comes out)... Elements. It is a nested file system. Yup, problem solved, I can keep all my files on a single project in a single nested file. Oh and yes, I tried notebooks, but could not make it work. Anyhow, a littl...

Ok here is an obvious one... after the fact

When you compile into MOBI or EPUB... the name of the file is the name of your book. So make sure to rename your file to match tittle...

I am doing dry runs on that, but that is already a lesson learned.

I can see the embarrassment otherwise.

Re: Possible bug

I'll send you the file, no problem. It struck me as odd. :-) As I said, no harm no foul. I am almost done with it. I need one more edit, (at least) and figure out exactly how to get them into both mobi and epub... taking this sucker to print myself. It is an essay on the Occupy movement. So you coul...

Re: Possible bug

After syncing the project in the Mac it will not open on the windows machine in full. The only version that opens is the last before I synced for the first time with simple note. No harm, no foul, using an external folder and word for the edit on the NetBook. But for example the file as a chapter th...

Re: Possible bug

Yes, once you sincronize with simplenote, it will not update the same file to the windows version.

I exported, synced to an external folder, and will see if that works... if not, editing will happen on Word.

Possible bug

When I set the file to play nice with Simplenote, it will simply refuse to play nice with the windows version.
