Re: Delete project

I would locate where your projects are stored, copy and save the project in question (or do a backup) then delete the original from the list of projects. They are merely a folder like any other data folder.

There should be a copy of your project in Backups already so it can't get away.

Re: 'Nuther Script Question

Thanks for the input.

Some of the information was a bit ambiguous to say the least but it did look somewhat promising.s

'Nuther Script Question

I ran across the Fountain Screenplay application and wondered if anyone else was familiar with it or had used it. The Script project that Scrivener offers is adequate but Fountain seems to be a more complete program with a wider offering of scripting options. The writers claim it is compatible with ...

Re: lost story scare...have you noticed? just fyi

A folder on the desktop containing shortcuts to the .scrivx files works for me especially since we can rename them.

Re: Which MS Word Alternative

Thanks guys,

Will give LibreOffice a shot for this project.

I use Word extensively and will continue using it for the things it does well.
OTOH MS is determined to be obstinate on certain issues so one must improvise.

Thanks

Which MS Word Alternative

I have a need to do some file converting that MS Office does not address and would like your opinion on the office alternatives.
Specifically, do you prefer Open Office or Libre Office at this time?

Thanks

Re: Scrivener 1.9

Since the latest release, every time I open a project, it tells me I need to update the project and create a backup. I do. However, when I attempt to open the backup I still get the popup that tells me I need to update the project. I have now updated and backed up the backup three times. Is this a ...

Lost My Spell Checker

Fried my hard drive but retained list of most loaded programs and utilities. Can not recall the name of my spell checker. It was a tiny thing and probably not an installed item. The logo could be mistaken for the Windows "W" and the first word was win or web. I guess I fit the profile of t...

Re: Is there a way to save the entire project using a new name?

Hm,

Most of my projects evolved from a previous project.

Save as and giving it a name does a great job. Open the new project to verify it is intact and do a backup and all is well in your world of Scrivener.

Re: LightZone is back

Sounds interesting. I have never gotten the hang of Photoshop and Gimp seems gimpy to me so I have used Paintshop Pro through several upgrades. While it is somewhat intuitive the options and results are not overwhelming. How does LightZone compare to PSP in ease of use and the learning curve? Thanks...

Does anyone use the Screenplay template

I am setting up to start a new novel and in digging a bit into script formatting, etc. can see some advantages to the general layout for novel writing. Has anyone used this approach to facilitate laying out scenes? The next questions are: If so, how successful was it and would you use that system ag...

Re: MS OneNote vs Evernote

Thanks for the input.
I loaded the new OneNote and after a few minutes unloaded it as my old 2007 version is more user friendly and just as functional as well as all my work is readily accessible on my computer.

Again,

Thanks

MS OneNote vs Evernote

Have used older versions of OneNote but am not familiar with this new thing that is out.
Can anyone make a comparison to Evernote for usability and satisfaction with data storage and handling?

Thanks
