Inserting URL as hyperlink in Research

How do I insert a URL into a document? Copy and paste does not seem to cut the mustard and drag and drop is tiresome. I seems at one time I could turn a copy and pasted URL into a hyperlink from a menu selection. I do not want to insert the web page but only the URL as a hyperlink. Using win 10 and ...

Re: Story Genius

Sorry, not the case at all. It's just that after years of being spoon fed the 3 act structure ala Brooks, etc. this system comes to light. I believe many of us consider portions of it and have incorporated it into our work for quite some time. My question at this point is "what has anyone picke...

Story Genius

Is anyone getting involved with and working with this story planning concept.
Am curious just how much it adds to the work, planning and changes to your drafts and story structure.

Thanks

Re: Website/Forum for Research

This will probably get this thread tossed somewhere. Using the search tool "DuckDuckGo" and the search term "what kind of spoons British royalty used in the 1500s" I came up with an interesting article in Snopes at "http://www.snopes.com/language/phrases/1500.asp." Didn...

That would be sweet but I think Grammarly comes with a price tag.

Re: Lost somewhere on corkboard

Bear in mind I have never seen the manual and am relaying only what my haphazard experiences have shown me. I do not know how much data the corkboard will hold and show but I have put several typed pages into the synopsis and they show in the corkboard. The same data can be put directly into the cor...

Re: Lost somewhere on corkboard

Sorry to butt in here but I can see my data in each of corkboard, scrivenings and the outliner views and of course, the original text in the editor. I enter data into the editor below a title. With the synopsis window open I select what I want and click the auto-generate icon at the right and that i...

Re: How can I add functions to the menu or tool bar?

Try Tools>Customize Toolbars then select Format or Main Toolbars on right.
Icons will appear for your perusal.
The Corkboard Icon is already on the Toolbar near the center with the other editing views.

Aeon Timeline and Scrivener

I am addressing this to the Scrivener board as the AT message boards are practically non-responsive. Have just completed a brief trial of AT1 and was impressed enough to buy AT2. My object was to establish a timeline spanning an interesting, active and accomplished man's life of 70 years. I intended...

Re: Need advice on Aeon Timeline

Just bought the Aeon Timeline2 Beta. The program is greatly improved and will serve my purpose in good fashion. Awaiting the user manual to fully appreciate the program.

Thank you

Need advice on Aeon Timeline

I have accumulated a vast amount of data that spans a character's life time which I intend to utilize in a series of fiction/faction outdoor action/adventure novels. (Yep, this dude was busy.) My primary concern is the learning curve that is involved. Also is there a problem fitting information into...

Re: Scriptwriting formatting issues

I ran into similar issues and tinkered with font size and line spacing.
Do not recall details but it all came out in the wash.
