Re: Location of Snapshot files in new Beta?

Thank you. None of my files are stored in default locations in any programs. They are all directed to folders in Windows Explorer where they are easily located by recognizable names and dates. I understand the limits for Snapshot and the confusion it may cause for some. We often see folks on here fr...

Location of Snapshot files in new Beta?

Having a few problems with new beta.
It comes on very blah and blank and takes a lot of tinkering to make it pleasant to work with.

So how do I change location of Snapshot files? Can not locate that option.

New Project Templates

Have any significant new Project Templates been developed by anyone since the inception of the new Scrivener 3 program?
I write outdoor action stories and am open to any new beat sheet and template suggestions.

Still gambling on V.3 for Windows becoming a reality someday.

Thanks

Re: Is Literature & Latte trying to force us to Mac's?

Oh, I realize all that bit plus my post was, in part, somewhat tongue-in-cheek. I help a small group of older aspiring writers of the windows persuasion. One by one they are throwing their hands up and just buying Apple equipment so they can settle into the program and concentrate on their writing. ...

Re: Is Literature & Latte trying to force us to Mac's?

Hmm, just wondering.
Have hung in here for quite some time and listened to quite a bit of rhetoric along the way. Would certainly not wish to realize it is for naught.

Thanks

Is Literature & Latte trying to force us to Mac's?

Didn't think a message was necessary but need one to submit.

Re: Scrivener Libre office and rtf files

Thank you for the posts here. Funny how a spoonful of experience can overshadow a mountain of conjecture.
I have a small test project that will work well for a testing ground and nothing will be lost.

Again, Thanks

Re: Scrivener Libre office and rtf files

That is true but RTF is not libre office's native format. Being an open source program all is not as cut and dried nor as consistent as are the components of ms office, etc.. There are compatibility issues elsewhere with handling of files which prompted me to address this. At this point I have no pa...

Scrivener Libre office and rtf files

Am considering moving from ms office to libre office and am concerned about the handling of libre office version rtf files in scrivener. The working relationship between scrivener and libre office will be the determining factor. Any experiences, references of preferences you would like to share? Tha...

Re: The SnowFlake Method by Randy Ingermanson

Thanks folks,

Your replies indicate it does not save any effort/time nor offer anything that is not available in a basic Scrivener project template.

The SnowFlake Method by Randy Ingermanson

Not new by any means but has anyone bought or used this program and given it a shot?
The concept seems promising in laying out a basic project then expanding on it.

Thanks

Re: Make all links hyperlinks?

Well, pray tell, just how do you accomplish this feat?
Since all the upgrades and then moving to win 10 things are becoming a tad challenging.

Thanks

Re: Inserting URL as hyperlink in Research

Here's what I do: - Go to the url and copy it. - Pull down Menu/edit/link - select NO PREFIX - this way whether it is www or http or https whatever you copied (which worked cause you are there) works - Paste This works for both pdf output and HTML output Checking the NO PREFIX selection did the tri...
