Re: ePub Cover Woes

Oh my God. You're a lifesaver. Can we swear in the forums? I swear like a sailor and I'm constantly having to edit myself.

To say that you're a lifesaver is an understatement to me. To say that you're a f***ing lifesaver is more accurate. Thank you thank you thank you.

ePub Cover Woes

I broke my cover for ePub. My own darn fault, but now I can't recreate a cover. Can anybody help me? Is anybody out there? Bueller?

I assumed it was easy to add a custom cover, but I can't figure it out to save my life.

I'm going to bed. All help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Working Title vs. Actual Title

I do not understand your solution. It won't let me view anything but the document I'm working on at the time with that metadata button. I'm so F*T%ing frustrated right now I'm about to toss my whole laptop out the window. Why is changing the $projecttitle so difficult? Well fudge. I figured it out....

Re: Background sync for iOS

Dear Katherine from support, Background App Refresh in iOS has been around for generations of iOS distributions. To say that iOS doesn't have true multitasking is misleading and flat out wrong. "Background App Refresh" is not the same thing as true multitasking. On a Mac you can, for exam...

Re: Background sync for iOS

Jim, every time I attempt it, it gives me an error and says "You must close your project before syncing." I'm paraphrasing, but currently not writing on my iPad as I have my full laptop at home. I'll provide the exact quote tomorrow when I'm off writing.

Re: Background sync for iOS

What we need is syncing on the fly, like iWork Documents do, like Word Documents do. Dropbox is a nightmare of complexity that is completely unnecessary. Why should I have to exit something I'm working on to have it sync? No other writing program that I'm aware of does this. I shouldn't have to back...

Re: MLA Long Quotation Problem

Hi there Howard, I hope you are well! I'm very sorry to hear of your frustration with the compiling of your document. Let's see if we can figure this out... First of all, when you run the compile what options are you selecting? By the looks of your issue, I would hazard a guess that under "Form...

Re: Problem

Okay, so it's not exactly easy to find... What you want to do is grab the snapshot from the list on the right hand side of the screen and then drag it over to the header bar (directly above the text) and release it. This will make the snapshot appear as though it is in the editor (though you cannot ...

Re: crashes, freezes, long load up Scrivener 1.0.3

Have you checked Task Manager when you launch Scriv to see what amount of CPU Scriv is using? Stefan had asked if you can make the corrections without use of the script - have you tried that at all? While a script may function in other programs, there might be something about it that causes some hic...

Re: Kindle Fire - does not display mobi compiled in Scrivener

Good morning! A quick question I have for you right off is whether or not you have tried opening the .mobi content in a PC version of the Kindle program? Also, when you go to create the .mobi file, are you expanding the attributes selection with the arrow to the right of the "Format As" dr...

Re: Lost text

Which group are you viewing as Scrivenings? The Research group? If you are somehow inside a editing view and click on the corkboard then nothing will show up. It's blank. The corkboard only displays items when you have selected a grouping of documents (like a chapter or parts or the research group)....
